Internalizing this management could reduce costs for Compound, but it is important that the level of rigor regarding security and transparency remains high, so the DAO does not become the victim of an exploit and lose its treasury in an attack or become exposed to vulnerabilities in other protocols. The protocol depends on the constant participation of delegates to approve parameter changes and to introduce and remove markets.
