# Noun of the Day; On-Chain Editorial Terminal Noun of the Day is a physical editorial system that connects directly to Nouns smart contracts and generates a daily, magazine-style cover page from live on-chain data. It transforms real-time blockchain state into a tangible, printable artifact. - How It Works 1. Direct Smart Contract Interaction The system reads live data from: * The Nouns Auction House Contract * The Nouns DAO Governor Contract Through these contracts, the editorial pulls: * Current Noun ID * Noun image & traits * Auction status and current bid * Date of mint/auction * Active governance proposals All data is fetched directly from the contracts on Ethereum ensuring the output reflects live, verifiable on-chain state. 2. Magazine-Style On-Chain Cover Generation Using the contract data, the system automatically generates a magazine cover–style editorial page featuring: * Large Noun image * Noun ID and edition date * Trait breakdown * Current bid information * Snapshot of active proposals Each cover becomes a timestamped editorial issue, a daily cultural artifact generated from protocol activity. 3. Physical Interaction Layer This is designed to run on a physical device (e.g., Device connected to the internet + printer). Features include: * Print Cover — Instantly print the daily Noun issue * Auto-Print Scheduler — Automatically generate and print the daily cover at a set time (e.g., when a new auction begins or to the users preferred time) * Generate Random Noun Issue — Create archival editions from any past Noun ID * Manual Noun ID Input — Enter a specific Noun ID to generate its cover * Share Buttons — Distribute the generated issue digitally This creates a live bridge between the blockchain and physical space. Budget Request We are requesting 0.1 ETH to support the physical deployment and continuity of the Noun of the Day Editorial Terminal. Allocation 1. Domain Purchase and web app refinement A dedicated custom domain to host the live editorial interface and ensure permanence, credibility, and public accessibility. 2. Physical Print Materials A4 paper supply for daily printed editions of the Noun of the Day cover. These prints serve as the physical archive layer of the project transforming live on-chain data.
