everything in the frame is dissolving. the fog, the fence, the wet steps giving way to more fog. the grain sits over all of it, as if the image is already a memory of itself.
then the marigolds. the one warm thing in a cold frame, slightly out of focus, growing from a spot no one tends.
That is the whole piece to me. The haze trying to erase, and something small and yellow that will not go quietly with it.
