# Squirt Gun Head Trait
The squirt gun is one of the most nostalgic toys for many of us growing up, spending countless summer days with siblings, cousins, and friends having a blast. I personally have many, many vivid memories of running around with my younger brother at my grandparents house, chasing each other with Super Soakers, only to stop to refill them in the pool.
**Fun Super Soaker History**
In the early 80s, the Super Soaker was accidentally invented by a nuclear engineer who worked for NASA, Dr. Lonnie Johnson. He was working on a new idea for a heat pump, replacing freon with pressurized water vapor. Dr. Johnson hooked up the water pump to his bathroom sink to test it out and a stream of water shot across the room, mistakenly creating the very first Super Soaker prototype out of a pvc pipe and empty soda bottle.
Since first going on sale in 1990, the Super Soaker has netted over $1 billion in sales with hundreds of millions of squirt guns going around the world giving all those kids wonderful memories.
Being one of the most iconic toys in history, the Super Soaker was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame in 2015. ([National Toy Hall of Fame](https://www.museumofplay.org/toys/super-soaker/))
**Nouns Head**
Currently a blue version of the Squirt Gun head is one of the 55 traits included in the [Yellow Collective](https://www.yellowcollective.xyz) and quickly became a crowd favorite. It was suggested by Toady Hawk to recolor the trait to blue in order for the permanent yellow Noggles to have their shine as well.
This proposal is to submit the yellow-colored trait but if the blue one is deemed as the favorite, I am more than open to submitting that colorway instead.
