Memo 0x2358573a…a028bf on Ethereum

@0x05A1...011c It's hard to justify fun until you are the one having it. Sorry to see that as skateboarders we couldn't see eye to eye on this one. Hope to see you at the skatejam regardless...just don't wreck my flower display like you did in Idyllwild last year. lol > > > Sounds like an awesome event that I'd personally love to attend, but considering runway and the fact that we've already funded in a few other activations that week, it's hard to justify funding this too. > > Love the team tho and hope we can do another activation together in the future, maybe FWB Fest, and ideally following the approach gramajo.eth suggested > > +1 > > > I feel we are sufficiently covered with Farcon, spending additional funds feels like marginal gains. Which is a bit unfair to any prop that comes later. We essentially are building a world where IRL activations are based on who can submit a prop first. In the future I think we should look at our IRL activations as a whole, how much do we want to spend on ex: Devconnect 2025 Argentina. And instead of blowing our load at the first thing that looks interesting we get a bunch of ideas forming and then we fund the ones that seem the most concrete or more matches what we are after. This will make things fairer. > > > > With this being so close to Farcon, its lacking a lot of details tbh. > > +1 > > > It always feels a little off when event sponsorship proposals show up just a week before the event. It makes it seem like Nouns is just an afterthought, used more as a last-minute way to cover costs rather than something they truly wanted to build around. > > > > Events should be proposing months in advance so the broader community has time to actually get excited and contribute. It also gives the proposer time to hit proper production timelines and lets us, as a DAO, actually maximize the opportunity. > > +1 > > > I like the team but I think it's just too late for nouns to benefit from this activation. Plus we already have a significant presence at FarCon.
