This piece hits home. Self-validation is an interesting question in today’s day and age. How do we understand ourselves and how are we perceived by others? Does the phone, as the sole object, obstruct our sense of self? My perception is that who I am online is quite different from how I am known in person. While I portray and act exactly as I am, that can be interpreted differently by those who have built relationships with me through different avenues of life. Be confident, be genuine, and never wallow in trying to be something you’re not. A hard feat but obtainable with enough perserveance.
