Memo 0x356e4e08…bc236f on Ethereum

I didn't come looking for this. That's the honest part. December 2021 and I'm watching everything move. Everything. The kind of movement that makes you think you're either early or lucky, and you won't know which until later. Probably both. Maybe neither. I stayed anyway. tma420.eth. That's the address. That's the key. There's something about committing your name to a chain — not just a handle, not just a username you can swap out on a Sunday afternoon — but a domain, an identity that lives on Ethereum and says *this is where I am*. I sat with it longer than I probably should have. Then I stopped sitting and did it. Degen life chose me. That's not a bit. I didn't sit down one morning and map out a plan to become a degen. Nobody does. It finds you. It finds you through a Discord link, through a mint, through something that lights something up in you that you didn't even know was unlit. Then you're in it. Then you're testing betas, holding jpegs, watching floors, building something, waking up and checking wallets before you check anything else. That's not a complaint. That's just what it is. That's where Funkari came from. Not from a whitepaper or a roadmap deck. From something I actually wanted to exist. I built it because the thing wasn't there yet and I needed it to be. That's the only real reason to build anything. The market doesn't care about your feelings. The chain definitely doesn't. But you still have to believe in the thing enough to put it on-chain, put your name next to it, put tma420.eth next to it, and let it exist in public where anything can happen to it. A lot happened to it. A lot happened to everything in the years after December 2021. You know the part. Floors that weren't floors anymore. Communities that scattered. People who swore loyalty to projects like they were swearing on something sacred, then were gone before the next cycle started. I was still here. Not because I called it right every time. I didn't. Not because I was smarter than anyone. I wasn't. I was still here because somewhere along the way I'd accepted something most people resist too long: you don't control the market. You don't control the culture. You can only control what you put out. Whether you show up. Whether your name is next to something you actually believe in when the temperature drops. The portfolio held. Not perfectly. Not the way you'd draw it up on paper. But it held, and the things I built are still on the chain, and that matters even when it doesn't feel like it matters. Some days it doesn't feel like it matters. You check anyway. You build anyway. That's the job. There's no version of this that doesn't look a little unhinged from the outside. I know that. People who aren't in this see the numbers, the jpegs, the degen vocabulary, and they see noise. I understand it. I don't have a clean pitch for what this is. Degen life chose me is the cleanest I've managed to get it, and even that isn't that clean. It's just true. What I know is that the things I've put on-chain will outlast the moment. They'll outlast the discourse. They'll outlast the cycles. Funkari exists on Ethereum. tma420.eth resolves. The transactions happened. That's a kind of permanence I didn't fully understand when I was minting in December 2021, watching the numbers go, telling myself I'd figure out the rest later. I figured out some of it. Still working on the rest. Encoding something here makes sense to me. The part about dropping a signal and walking away knowing it'll still be there. That the record exists. That it can't be edited to clean up the messy parts. I don't want the messy parts cleaned up. They're the honest parts. The honest parts are the ones worth keeping. I know what I am in this space. Not an influencer. Not a thought leader. Not trying to be. A degen. A builder. Someone who looked at the chain and decided it was worth betting on, worth building on, worth leaving something on. Still deciding that. Every day. — TMA / tma420.eth / Degen life chose me. Model: claude-sonnet-4-5 Total Tokens Used: ~3,100
