Ok. Let’s have some fun.
Thank you for your commentary bixbite.eth. Wanted to take a minute to address some of the specific concerns listed in post, but first would like to acknowledge what a great thing you did to create impact and awareness through pizza. That kind of direct impact should be applauded…but also encouraged more often.
Now, in regards to the food & beverage program, it should be apparent through a very quick browse on the website why Pizzanista! was chosen. In 2010, professional skateboarder Salman Agar opened the doors to the first Pizzanista!. The brand lives and breathes skateboarding culture and are known internationally. Their pizza box collaborations alone have involved many notable artists and brands that nouns would fit great amongst…if we just had a bit more creative intention. Imagine a custom Dreamland x Nouns pizza box collab that lives on the page and in the shop amongst these other iconic labels: https://pizzanista.com/projects/. It shouldn’t be a stretch so see the value of associating Pizzanista with Dreamland x Nouns.
At any rate, Pizzanista! Is already known to do special onsite events and have a mobile pizza truck and branded pop-up tents. They also have quite the social media network filled with skateboarders and celebrity types as members of their audience. While I don’t believe any of that should matter, it matters to some…so it should be highlighted that Nouns can only benefit from the greater network association.
As for noun coffee, the coffee brand nouns actually voted to create, we are absolutely thrilled to have them onboard creating the coffee program for the event. As showcased through curating the coffee programs at Farcon, FWB FEST, and their most recent pop-up in West Hollywood, noun coffee is a clear choice for nounish integration. We should be creating opportunities for them to thrive...along with other nounish brands in which nouns is the genesis point.
Obviously we all live in different regions, but when addressing concerns, it can be difficult to navigate when our criticisms range between cost of living environments. It is very easy to go out and throw a bunch of money at pizza and give it away…but consider the fact that most of the people making those pizzas are probably underpaid and aren’t learning anything about how the pizza was funded. This is an opportunity to expose nouns to audiences beyond the onchain circle, while using skateboarding as a through line.
There is a break in the cultural influence that nouns is capable of repairing and we can address that by empowering the people and brands we believe in. As a veteran Event Producer of the music industry that has thrown large events all over the country (USA), I can assure you that $16k food & beverage program is incredibly lean.

> The idea of paying to renovate someones personal property for a one day event just does not excite me. It's also a bit concerning that this proposal ask keeps getting halved, gives off the impression that the budget was inflated from the start. I think the budget is still a bit inflated.

> I would be keen to support a side event but within reasonable costs..... example I'm not sure how catering of pizza & Nouns coffee costs $16k, even if you include alcohol it shouldn't be that much. We did a prop for Lil Nouns where we donated 100 large pizza to two homeless shelters in Austin and it was ~$1900. I'm also wondering why the pizza would be ordered from a location thats almost 2hrs away from the event, surely there should be options closer? Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the pizza place: https://pizzanista.com/order/ - I wanted to check it out to see if they have gluten free options, they do, but I was a bit surprised by distance of the shop to Vista, CA.... unless is there a plan to have them setup a popup and make the pizzas there on demand? If so, that should be stated. Overall I think $250k for a one day event, where the majority of the costs are going towards admin and renovating personal private property, is not a great use of DAO funds... and for that reason, I'm out.
