Summary
The Jokerace DAO is an independent DAO sitting adjacent to the jokedao protocol. The Jokerace has proven to be the first and most popular example of the power of jokedao, and is also responsible for the first community-created NFT collection.
The DAO currently has 22 members and ~30 ETH in treasury funds. The opportunities are endless, as jokedao continues to gain adoption and experiments with new forms of participatory media and governance.
This proposal will approve Jihad and LDF as co-stewards of the Jokerace DAO, responsible for helping to set the direction of the DAO, onboard new members, and incubating new proposals.
Responsibilities
Jokerace DAO co-stewards will be responsible for:
- Setting a direction for the Jokerace DAO, including mission and branding, with the input of jokedao NFT holders.
- Being the primary points of contact for any external partnerships and “official” communications.
- Setting governance norms and incubating proposals in line with the Jokerace DAO mission, with the input of jokedao NFT holders.
Note: the proposal process will continue to be permissionless – this role is more focused on catalyzing governance vs. running governance.
Terms
The proposal will approve these roles for 3 months beginning January 1, 2023, after which the community can choose to extend, replace, or remove the role entirely.
Compensation for this role will be 15% of jokedao NFT sales, split evenly between the co-stewards, to best align incentives amongst all stakeholders.
