# DOWNHILL NOUNS CONNECTING WITH THE WORLD IRL

We are DHNOUNS, a project focused on connecting downhill sports with the values of Nouns, the community, and the sporting spirit. We seek to finance two events: one at a national and Latin American level and another at a global scale. With this funding, we will create and establish the DHNOUNS CUP and the world DHNOUNS GP Championship.
The funding requested here only contemplates the execution of 2 events. The first, CUP DHNOUNS Vol 1 Guadalupe, will give us funding and ROI to execute the other editions of CUP DHNOUNS in Colombia during 2025. The second event a world-class event is designed to generate ROI and be able to produce and execute it once a year in future editions in 2026.
We are a project dedicated to promoting sports and public goods by creating safe and professional spaces for their practice and fostering their future growth. Together with Nouns, we will make history of the sport for future generations.
These events will be the seed that will allow DHNOUNS to grow sustainably. Downhill has great potential in Colombia and Latin America, making the cup our first event in a series of competitions scheduled throughout the year. This will be possible thanks to the initial investment in DHNOUNS CUP VOL. 1, which will provide us with the necessary capital to organize the upcoming events in Bucaramanga and Medellín in 2025.
DHNOUNS GP will be the event that positions DHNOUNS at the highest professional level of the sport. We will partner with [WDSC](https://worlddownhillskateboardingchampionship.com/wdsc-announces-multi-continental-world-tour/), which will serve as the international promoter responsible for broadcasting, logistics, and organizing the qualifying stages with judges during the event.
Additionally, we will provide a space for the community, allowing more people to learn about DHNOUNS and join both the online and on-chain community. We will also launch a curated call for businesses and brands focused on downhill, as well as Nounish brands that want to connect with the downhill community.
The local community will also play a key role in the event, as they will have the opportunity to sell food and beverages to attendees. Our vision with DHNOUNS GP is to recover the investment through registration fees, charges for participating businesses, and the sale of event 2025 jerseys. This will enable us to fund the 2026 edition and, year after year, continue fostering Nouns culture, ensuring that the event grows bigger and better in the future.

## What is Downhill?
Downhill skateboarding and roller skating are extreme sports disciplines that develop on slopes, taking advantage of gravity to descend roads and reach high speeds.
Downhill Skateboarding: This is an extreme form of skateboarding that involves descending hills at high speed. Practitioners use long boards specially designed to improve stability and control. The value of this sport lies in the technical skill it requires, the adrenaline it generates, and the united community it promotes. This sport is becoming increasingly popular due to its excitement and the challenge it presents.
Downhill Roller: Similar to downhill skateboarding, downhill rollerblading is also practiced on steep slopes. Skaters use specialized equipment to protect themselves at high speeds, such as helmets and pads. This discipline stands out for its focus on control and maneuverability through fast turns. The value of downhill rollerblading comes from the combination of technical skill and physical conditioning.
Both disciplines are gaining recognition as emerging sports worldwide, due to the competitions that are organized and a growing presence on social media and a community that inspires new athletes to get involved. They also foster personal improvement, hard work, dedication, and the importance of safety when participating in extreme sports on public roads. These sports also offer a sense of community and camaraderie among practitioners, strengthening their social bond. High speeds can be reached, and since it is a high-accident sport, we seek to generate awareness and respect for the sport and the roads where it is practiced and care for the mountains.
Downhill nouns can be anything, but its core is the community and the real people who will turn this idea into a material experience, leaving a legacy for the sport and culture, driven by a crypto-native community that uses technology to materialize DHNouns as a global powerhouse in downhill.

DH NOUNS is an initiative that connects the NOUNS community with the world of downhill longboarding and rollerblading. Through events such as training, education, meetings, competitions, and a team of high-level athletes, the DHNouns will carry the identity of NOUNS to the mountains, the tracks, and thousands of people worldwide, both online and in real life, as our universal language is skating and Nouns.
We will connect hundreds of thousands of people with NOUNS, attracting new builders and those interested in learning about blockchain and DAO to evolve together and do things never done before in downhill. We connect with thousands of people in web2, Instagram, and on-chain at thatsgnar.ly/dhnouns.
Our vision is to join forces and build something truly giant and unprecedented, being the first community-driven project at a global level focused on an emerging sport based on the values of NOUNS: transparency, collaboration, participation, decentralization, and creative freedom in the development of this collective idea called DH NOUNS that is very close to a revolution.
The trajectory of DH NOUNS, founded in 2023 on the Polygon network, is linked to thatsgnar.ly, where we began to incorporate people into the community and cryptocurrencies, financing and educating athletes in the use of blockchain technology and decentralized finance protocols. In 2024, we launched our daily auction protocol based on 1/1 non-fungible tokens, building our treasury on the OP network but open to all Ethereum networks. ## Production of the DHNOUNS CUP in Colombia:
This request aims to finance the first edition of the DHNOUNS CUP competition, which will take place in Guadalupe, Bogotá. Our goal is to demonstrate the feasibility of organizing events that unite the community and promote the growth of the sport at a regional level. We aspire to generate a return on investment that will allow us to plan future editions in various cities across Colombia, strengthening entrepreneurs and athletes in a space created by DHNOUNS. This initiative connects local entrepreneurship with the growth of projects on a global scale, culminating in world championships organized by DHNOUNS and WSDC. This will enrich the sports community and contribute to the maintenance and growth of the sport.
Since we will depend on this initial investment, we will announce the next two dates immediately after the execution of the first event for which we are seeking this funding, thus demonstrating the viability and potential that Colombia has for downhill.

Cup DHNOUNS is planned to take place in races of 4 people in 2 categories: downhill skate and downhill inline. These events are intended for a maximum attendance of 120 competitors, and we estimate that between 400 to 500 people will attend each event in each of the cities where we will execute the COPA DHNOUNS: Bogota, Medellín, and Cali.
We will organize three races in Colombia IN 2025 with the goal of connecting thousands of people with the DH NOUNS community, setting a precedent in the history of the sport. Each race will award a bronze medal indicating the place occupied, a collectible Bigshot toy, and cash prizes. At the end of the season, the top 3 competitors of the cup will be rewarded with the registration fee for DHNOUNS GP. We will focus on the longboard and roller modalities, opening these two main categories.
Additionally, we will already be producing DHNOUNS GP in partnership with WSDC, one of the most important organizations in downhill worldwide, focusing on longboarding. ***WDSC will include the roller inline category in three races of the 2025 annual calendar***, with DHNOUNS being the community that opens the door for this skating modality to have its place in the professional space in the world championship WDSC, which occurs every four years.
