Memo 0x671c4d47…2e08ad on Ethereum

THE Protocol began with the "founder to start" process. The more advanced, widespread THE Protocol becomes in its development and expansion, the more efficiently it will incorporate inputs from its community members. THE Protocol will promote and put into practise a deeper involvement in the moral and intellectual advancement of the community. Ethereum has our Vitalik Buterin. THE Protocol will seek for the first people ever to provide our society with high-quality ideas. THE Protocol will be overseen by a non-coin-driven governance system. As stated by Vitalik Buterin: Coin-driven governance is elitist and prone to aggressive over-reach. THE Protocol will enable non-shareholder-driven governance in greater and clearer detail. This will also have the beneficial side effect that more democratic governance in THE Protocol is more likely to be aligned with the outside ecosystem. With the help of a neutral third party in our decision-making process, THE Protocol will work toward establishing positive relationships with all parties. Functional decision theory is a complicated concept. The core notion is that artificial intelligence with publicly verifiable pledges about their source code can coordinate better than people, addressing problems where humans often fail. It is possible for artificial intelligence to rewrite itself with a module that stops it from deceiving other AIs also equipped with such a module. THE Protocol AIs would all cooperate with each other in prisoner's dilemmas. As pointed out by Vitalik Buterin years ago, DAOs could do the same thing. THE Protocol will have governance mechanisms that are explicitly more charitable toward other DAOs that have a similar mechanism. THE Protocol will pledge to implement governance systems that ensure holders' interests are taken into consideration (such as allocating 20% of votes to a pool of holders picked at random). THE Protocol, our vision, as inscribed by Vitalik Buterin.
