Hexa Quillsplice is a papertoy from the Hashzznible Collective series, and my first generative papertoy ever. While the characters in the series each appear in a fixed form, Hexa can take on an infinite variety of skins.
Each Hexa Quillsplice can be downloaded, printed, cut, and assembled into a miniature physical paper sculpture, adding a new layer to the work that has not been seen on Art Blocks before. Although the piece is not static, which is unusual for print, the high-resolution version can be downloaded by clicking the green arrow in the bottom-right corner (Enable live rendering).
Each mint is uniquely hashed, so your Hexa Quillsplice will always remain the one you minted. At the same time, the papertoy template itself is interactive, meaning that every click generates a unique, never-before-seen expression from the algorithm’s boundless possibilities, which can also be downloaded in high resolution. Refresh the page, and you return to the original piece you minted.
The non-generative series is anchored in freely downloadable papertoys meant for home assembly, alongside collectible cards issued as NFTs. Some works are AI-generated through my own protected model in Alias Studio, trained exclusively on my own papertoys, and are not available for download. The series is fully tokenized and can be explored via the project website.
FAQ
How do I download the high-resolution file?
Click the green arrow in the bottom-right corner. No "Right Click Save”. The downloadable file is 3508 × 2480 px, 72 dpi, in PNG format, which is ideal for A4 and also suitable for A3 prints.
How should I print, cut, and assemble the papertoy?
I recommend A4 matte photo paper, between 90 g/m2 and 200 g/m2. These papertoys are demanding to cut, so for the best results, use a craft scalpel or surgical scalpel rather than standard scissors or utility knives. For glue, use white paper glue or a fast-drying transparent adhesive; in my experience, the UHU green power line works best. Fast-bond glue is not necessary.
Which print settings should I use?
Please change your default print preset to Photo matte paper and select the Highest color quality available.
