It would incredibly helpful to those of us that are working the project if we could also attempt to offer solutions when criticizing intentions. For example, what does tangible value look like? As an outsider to nouns, I’m trying to make sense of what the expectation was to involve Bob in the first place if it wasn’t meant to be an inflection point to onboard more of his peers. The addition of notable OGs that are important to the legacy of skateboarding should be seen as a win, just on the basis that they are interested in coming to play with us at all. If we are looking for tangible value as opposed to networked value, the media pieces and stories produced at this event should fulfill that request. If we are looking for more of a nounish physical product that people can take away as a collectable…see the pizza box collaboration example as a means to open our minds to different possibilities.
I encourage all of the OGs AND new nouns to vote for / with the culture and see that this isn’t your everyday nouns prop. The invited persons and nounish entities on display should act as both a means of proliferating the meme while also adding accountability to help uplift each other to be successful.
