Bailey's vision has always extended far beyond his portrait and fashion photography, he is an explorer at heart, whether it be for far reaching
locations like Naga Land or the internal reflections of the human condition. Bailey seems to extract core emotion out of his subjects in a way

Bailey's’ Paintings take on a different tone to his photography, he lays bare his innermost turmoil for the world to see. Bailey’s childhood
fears often take centre stage in his paintings, scenes of Hitler looming over bombed out dream scapes being a common motif. These are often
thought provoking musings on the nature of memory damaged by an external force.
The other side of David's painting is primal in nature, in these pieces he attempts to clear his mind, leaving his ego behind. In both styles there is a sense of dystopian surrealism, sometimes
disturbing and sometimes humorous in which Bailey reflects on his past and his present in interesting and surprising ways.
