Memo 0xa07c6221…83758e on Ethereum

Good morning, I need to start by acknowledging something. After my proposal was voted down, I posted that "this DAO is cooked" out of frustration. **That was wrong.** I was disappointed and reacted emotionally instead of professionally. I apologize for that. The 59-8 vote was decisive, and I've spent the past few days reflecting on why. I understand there are concerns about coordination between people from my community who've submitted proposals. I want to address that directly: while Gneric and Jed have been generous supporters of my work in the past, and we've collaborated on events in Ghana and Nigeria, **I am not involved in their current projects. They are not actively contributing to We Them Media.** We are separate initiatives pursuing our own visions for decentralized journalism. **I'm reposting my proposal as originally posted, and I invite people to vote on it again.** I am okay with the same outcome, but I am requesting thoughtful feedback that addresses the merit of my team, our track record, and concerns associated with the proposal itself. We are professionals, and I have been building my capacity to do exactly this. **I'm headed to Denver this week regardless of funding.** I've already bought a one-way ticket. I'll be supporting Swarthyhatter with his Nouns-funded documentary, learning on set, participating in BUIDL Week to develop my technical skills, and shooting content - even if it's just posting raw from my phone with no post-production. Just on the ground vibes, documenting my journey. We Them Media is a project I founded in 2021 in my college apartment. I didn't envision myself in crypto, but kickstarting my podcast initiative to document Black people in crypto has taken me across the world. This year I'm working with my media partner Superbio, who led all edits and shooting for our content rolled out last year. **He's currently completing post-production for our first agency client. We have proven systems, confirmed guests, and a track record of execution.** I want to make it clear that **I intend to create value for this DAO.** I'll be pushing for new people to join the DAO during my time in Denver. I'm excited to show you what it looks like when we get involved - not just as grant recipients, but as community builders. All of that aside, **Zaal, Ohnahji and I will be doing our first livestream ahead of this series tomorrow night.** Please join us as we outline what our next steps will be and the WHY behind this series.
