# Update standard proposal fee to 35 ETH
This proposal increases the protocol’s standard proposal fee to 35 ETH. The intent is to materially raise the cost of submitting standard proposals, thereby encouraging the use of priority proposals for routine changes. Future protocol changes are expected to be managed by M0 Labs directly via the priority proposal pathway. External partners can still use the standard proposal mechanism but should be conscious of the new fee structure.
