gm. This is a new initiative by myself, so there aren’t prior essays to point to yet. Verse isn’t positioned as a traditional publication with publicly reported readership metrics. And podcast platforms like Apple and Spotify don’t surface listener stats publicly.
What is legible is distribution context... Verse’s primary written content reach currently runs through X (~18.5k followers), plus direct distribution via the critics own channels (Substack, Outland, institutional and academic networks), which is where long form criticism in this space is typically read and cited.
The goal here isn’t scale via mass impressions or hype driven marketing. It’s about credibility weighted reach. Placing rigorous writing into channels where it moves through teaching, citation, republication and longer, more durable cultural memory, which is how criticism in the art world actually accrues influence.
