Doubling Down on Nouns Whisky ⌐◨-◨
Hi Team, this is a monumental milestone for me as a founder, artist and entrepreneur. Nouns Whisky Pty (Ltd) has been a daily work in progress & research vehicle for about 3.5 years and I can finally present a marketplace / dashboard that will drive the future of Nouns Whiskies, Happy Gin, Nouns Distillery, Nouns Farm, Nouns Gallery and whatever else on our journey proliferates Nouns across the world and over the next 5 years in Africa, as we all build this business sustainably from Cape Town, South Africa.
From day 1 the goal has been to create a marketplace based on blockbar.com and how it helps distilleries release creative products backed by blockchain technology. The Nouns Whisky portal is this for small business & batch makers, boutique distilleries & master distillers, where they can experiment and then release unique Nouns collectors products under our guidance.
www.nounswhisky.world is in the beta phase now and I’ve worked to provide everyone with a platform that we can test and improve on. I’m using codex as my primary platform and with prompting it is really easy for the community to suggest upgrades that I can copy and push into codex. This can truly be a fun building in public experience and school of thought for everyone.
Here are some questions that we need to figure out.
1. Should the bottle reservation sales be on Base or Ethereum? Sales will start in Usdc at $50 per bottle for the Nouns community. This will be moved up to $100 when I start pushing out the PR campaign to the beverage industry.
2. I want sales to be split 50% to Nouns, 30% to Production & 20% to the team. This way everyone can see the progress of the project as funds are returned directly to the dao per transaction, making sales and production transparent.
3. With the dao now being a duna, can the duna receive income from nfts that are tied to alcohol products? Should funds rather go to Nouns Whisky and then we bid on Nouns? What is the best practice?
4. Can nft holders become shareholders in Nouns Whisky (Pty) Ltd?
5. The statistics and numbers visible on the website are not correct as this info needs to be pulled in from various contracts? Who can help develop these contracts?
6. Who wants to help refine the website with me and build a solid backend like a Shopify store? This means that other artists / projects can also use the platform.
Note that, all contracts and bottle sales are paused until we can get them 100%. All other collections, projects & governance votes are available from Opensea. There are 15 Round Table Votes available now for those that want to delve deeper into the business side of things. We will also have to design a governance contract for voters to decide if we fund x, y, z products as we expand.
Let’s start here, the website needs a lot more work but I believe this model can return funds to the dao in perpetuity. Please make some suggestions or send some prompts and I will get the ball rolling on phase 2, this is going to be a daily grind for until the website is 100% ready for the rest of the world to explore ⌐◨-◨
