Portraits I by jiwa is a first edition collection of 64 hand & code-made portraits and a new proposition in modern portraiture. Every portrait is animated, responsive, and acts as a complete generative algorithm.
Every refresh creates a new artwork, and the collector can lock the portrait, setting a certain output in perpetuity. Collectors can anonymize (pixelate) their portrait and control the usage of their portrait photo. Portraits are made using jiwa’s bespoke Instruction Painting process, where, he states,” I draw the instructions, the algorithm paints the picture”.
