Against a wall inspired by the volcanic stone architecture of the Diego Rivera's Anahuacalli Museum (Mexico City), 'Luminaries' displays, in flickering neon letters, the name of a person considered essential to the evolution of generative art into what it is today.\nThe 100 outputs of this project thus create a record, permanently inscribed on the blockchain for future historians, of the individuals essential to the history and evolution of generative art. This record includes not only artists, but also other figures who have made this ecosystem possible and who rarely leave a permanent trace on the blockchain, such as critics, collectors, writers, developers, communities, curators, and gallerists.\n\nThe title 'Luminaries' derives from the fact that the names are literally written in light, using neon tubes. But more importantly, it refers to the idea that these figures are the brilliant minds whose contributions have enabled generative art to achieve the recognition it enjoys today.\n\nAs this is a living ecosystem, the value of each output will continue to evolve over time, as each figure's influence and recognition change, creating a living, dynamic, and decentralized record of the generative art ecosystem, where its changing dynamics will continue to unfold transparently on the blockchain, offering future historians a unique archive of its evolution.\n\n'Luminaries' is a living, dynamic and decentralized record of the generative art ecosystem. A portrait of the generative art ecosystem arranged by the generative art ecosystem itself.
