# Educational content for kids - Edu Nouns 2024
Edu Nouns is a community developing educational content for children. We encourage young kids to learn and grow through educational games & puzzles.
Since our launch in November ‘22 we created a lot of digital learning materials, realizing this way our mission and also proliferating the Nouns brand.
For upcoming 2024 season we want to expand our operations, mainly by producing physical items and delivering them directly to kids & schools. It’s our first proposal and the budget we’re asking for would allow us to achieve things not possible without funding.

## What we’ve done so far?
Our website ([edunouns.xyz](https://edunouns.xyz)) is a central place of our community, where we inform about all our initiatives and provide learning materials for kids.
Its key element is [“Resources”](https://edunouns.xyz/resources) page, where we provide a set of learning materials in 8 different categories.
## What kids can learn?
## Nouns learning resources
So far we’ve created ~40 custom learning materials - all made from scratch and living within Nouns world. Each type of resource was designed to teach specific topic and was tested in practice with kids.
Since we design our materials for younger kids, we need to ensure they are fun to play with, so children really want to spend their time drawing, solving riddles or spotting differences between two images.

## **Plans for 2024**
In upcoming 12 months we want to create more learning resources, onboard new creators and start co-operating with schools.
All materials we create will be released on CC0 license.
We plan to work on & release:
### Educational books
- 4x editions (1 per quarter) of new educational books for children
- We’ll cover topics: math, letters, drawing, riddles (1 leading topic per edition)
- Teaches theory & practice
- 32-64 pages per book
- We want to print 500x issues of each edition and distribute it to 5x schools
- 100x issues per school
- Schools chosen by our community via voting
- Also available for everyone (teachers, parents, kids) as PDF (digital edition)
### Kids magazine
- 4x issues of magazine for kids
- Each issue will contain:
- coloring sheets
- riddles & mazes
- reading, writing & drawing exercises
- 24-40 pages per magazine
- We want to print 500x items of each issue and distribute it to 5x schools
- 100x items per school
- Schools chosen by our community via voting
- Also available for everyone (teachers, parents, kids) as PDF (digital edition)
### Board game
- Board game for kids (7-12 years old)
- Teaches math & economy basics
- We want to produce 300 physical games (board, pawns & other elements)
- 200x distributed to 5x schools (30x per school, chosen by community)
- 50x for EduNouns NFT holders
- 50x available for order
### New learning resources
- 14x math exercises (from current 6 → 20)
- 19x alphabet letter exercises (7 → 26)
- 13x drawing exercises (7 → 20)
- 11x new riddles for kids (9 → 20)
- 15x sudoku boards (5 → 20)
- 9x new coloring sheets (1 → 10)
The school selection process, distribution and logistics issues will be addressed within the community in a fully transparent way. We'll use Prop House to decide which schools to support and Discord as a communication channel to discuss all the required details.
We see a huge potential in this area to co-operate with other Nouns subcommunities, especially in less developed countries, when access to quality educational content is a challenge.
### Prop House rounds
- 3 Prop House rounds for new creators who want to help and create educational content and/or become Edu Nouns ambassadors
- Each round will have total budget of 2 ETH
- Each round will have different topic. Depending on the goal, in specific round we'll award 4-5 top submissions
- The main goal is to onboard new active community members to Edu Nouns

## Budget
- 2 ETH per month (12 months) - full time compensation for cheer_up:
- creating 81x new Nouns learning resources
- designing & producing 4x editions of educational books
- designing & producing 4x issues of kids magazine
- designing & producing board game
- handling logistics (packaging & shipment) of all physical items
- 2 ETH per Prop House round - 3 rounds
- 6 ETH - printing 2000x educational books (4 editions x 500)
- 5 ETH - printing 2000x kids magazine (4 issues x 500)
- 5 ETH - producing 300x board games
- 3 ETH - shipment & packaging costs

## Why this proposal?
- This is a socially positive & useful project, aiming to help kids, teachers & parents.
- Funding would allow us to send physical educational content to ~20 schools from around the world:
- 4000x in total educational books & magazines
- 200x board games
- All these materials will reach for at least a couple of thousand kids. Schools will be chosen by our community members.
- At the end of 2024 we’ll have almost ~120 educational resources available in digital form.
- All educational materials are branded by Nouns
