Memo 0xe887fdc9…231cce on Ethereum

I'm personally supportive (but hesitant) about the DUNA, but I also believe that DAOs should allow members to be in control of their own destiny. This feels like the first time the concept of a Fork is being used properly, and I'm supportive of it. That being said, I believe that 10% is simply too low to be constructive and will incentive the wrong kind of efforts. Abstaining, but would be supportive of a fork in the future, especially if it came from a 'voting block'. +1 > This is the first legitimate ask for minority protection which was the entire purpose of this mechanic. +1 > Previous forks rinsed way more of the treasury than this decrease in threshold might cause as far as I can tell. I think this could possibly be the first time it’s potentially used for its actual purpose too. > As much as I see the possibility that people could use it to their advantage, I don’t feel entirely comfortable keeping it harder for honest people to fork. > I like the conversations about alternatives, but nothing seems like a perfect solution to me at this point. > It’s been a solid back and forth in my thoughts on this one, as I can see multiple perspectives. > And as useless as an abstain vote might be right now, it’s the only thing that I can decide on unfortunately.
