> This USDC isn’t sitting there as a deliberate treasury play, it’s just leftover funds from cancelled props. Default should be converting it back to ETH, not optimizing a USDC position that shouldn’t exist in the first place. It’s under 5% of Treasury anyway, so squeezing yield out of it is a rounding error against the 95% we hold in ETH. Tom Lee needs us.

> The offer/clearing price right now is below the backing thats been set, so the incentive is to just collect the eth. fwa's own 1.3% keep rate backs that up. I dont think this onboards any new dao participation either, especially when people who already bought in to participate struggle to even show up to vote. As a tool to distribute nouns, i dont believe it works. as a tool to generate %, i struggle to see the upside. Maybe its fun for the dao to become a depositor in the project, but its not that exciting to me.
# Grant trav delegate access to the Nouns DAO X account
This proposal grants trav delegate access to the @nounsdao X account for original, written posts on key governance updates, proposal successes and art/memes.
I'm requesting a $500/month stream for six months of experimentation -- aiming for at least 3-10 posts weekly to cover what's new and interesting in Nouns.
The DUNA admins will maintain root access to the account and have final say/deletion power over delegate posts.
Trav's media efforts ([instagram.com/lilnouners](https://www.instagram.com/lilnouners)) were previously funded by Lil Nouns proposals 329 and 190 on 9/1/25 and 3/29/24 after 20 months of volunteership.

> While I understand the desire to address the issue of no bid days, routing unsold Nouns to the treasury is a cosmetic fix to a structural problem. I am voting against this upgrade because it treats a symptom while sweeping the actual disease under the rug. An unsold Noun is a direct signal that our current mechanics are misaligned with market reality. Stashing these Nouns in the treasury feels like a mechanism to soften the blow and make ourselves feel better, rather than fixing what is actually broken.
>
> The real issue here is the reserve price, not the burn mechanism itself. The reason we are seeing unsold Nouns is because our artificial reserve price is choking out natural market demand. I have put forward a separate proposal to return the reserve to 0. By allowing the market to organically price a Noun every single day, we eliminate the gridlock. If we fix the pricing mechanism, Nouns will find their natural buyers, auctions will clear, and the no bid dilemma solves itself. Passing unsold Nouns in the treasury is just a distraction from this actual structural fix.
>
> The daily burn acts as a stark, unignorable reminder of where the DAO stands. When a Noun burns, it is gone forever. It hurts, and it should. That permanent loss of supply forces us to look in the mirror and realize we need to do better.... whether that means improving our culture, funding higher impact ideas, or fixing our economic parameters like the floor price.
>
> The core argument is that keeping Nouns gives us options to auction or grant them later. But optionality often breeds procrastination. Moving unsold Nouns to the treasury simply kicks the problem down the road, inflating our asset count while diluting the urgency to fix the underlying issues driving the lack of bids.
>
> This proposal frames burning as destroying assets unilaterally. I view it as maintaining protocol level accountability. We shouldn’t implement a feel good safety net just because a burn day makes us uncomfortable. Let the burn remain as a forcing function for the DAO to strive for excellence. Reject this band aid, fix the actual root cause by lowering the reserve price to 0, and let the market work the way Nouns was intended to work.

> Long-Lasting. Good for the earth. Nounish.
We've seen across nounish sub-DAO's (Lils, Gnars and Vrbs) that reserve pricing without a vrgda results in burned NFT's and declining auction proceeds. Instead of protecting the treasury, the reserve walls it off from new contributors. A $0 reserve is preferable in that it earns the DAO daily proceeds valued by an open market.
secret-ballot-voting-&-sealed-bid-auctions-for-nouns-dao
My favorite thing about Nouns is its transparency. I love reading votes with reason and weighing points put forth by the community. If sealed bids and private voting matter, please test it elsewhere with little or no cost to the DAO.
