Klim has been working tirelessly to push Nouns as an idea in every way for quite some time now. While I understand there will be pushbacks to this proposal for some aspects of how it’s less business oriented than they’d like, Klim is the prototypical artist. He’s spent countless time and personal funds on trying to and succeeding at making things happen for this community in a way that I feel deserves to be rewarded.
Everything I've seen when it comes to The Park makes it a big yes to me. Nounish for sure. Spent some time with David at Edcon in Tokyo too. Couldn't be a bigger fan. Entertainment is where we can get outsized impact. All for this.
Have known and worked with Colton dating back to my Gitcoin days. He's someone who's very passionate and has been putting in the work for a very long time. Often much of that work being unseen. Got a chance to see the cards at Edcon earlier this year, and definitely believe in the value prop of this.
While I can understand some of the apprehensions around why this isn't perfect, it's a step in the right direction. This is the most clear and concise version of public goods. And maybe it's my Gitcoin background helping me see it through a more positive light too.
I love the idea of this project enough that I'm willing to help, am added to the team, but will not be asking for any sort of compensation. It's something I believe will add tremendous value to the nouns ecosystem.
# S20 MMM Workstream Budget Request This is the integrated funding proposal for the MMM Workstream, requesting funding for Season 20 (1 Nov 2023 through 31 January 2024), authored by Viriya. MMM is requesting $512,483 for S20, including reserves and rolled over amounts. They will be rolling over only a very small amount due to the incident of misdirected funds and their subsequent request for a significantly smaller portion of their budget (the full request would have left them with ± $250,000 in additional reserves). They are also expecting to pay severance to several contributors as part of our recent RIF. # S20-S21 GPT Workstream Budget Request This is the integrated funding proposal for the GPT Workstream, requesting funding for Season 20 and S21 (1 Nov 2023 through 30 April 2024), authored by Sov. Starting in Season 20, we propose that PGF, the group primarily responsible for the Gitcoin Grants Program and Gitcoin Partnerships, bifurcate into two distinct workstreams: the Grant Programs Team (GPT) and GSD. GPT will be responsible for the success of both Program and Community Rounds during the Gitcoin Grants cycles. GPT’s Top Goals include Growing/Operating our Program Rounds, Supporting Community Rounds, Dogfooding/Protocol Adoption, and Educating the Community. # S20-S21 GSD Workstream Budget Request This is the integrated funding proposal for the GSD Workstream, requesting funding for Season 20 and S21 (1 Nov 2023 through 30 April 2024), authored by Sov. As we have grown from the singular focus of driving funding for our Program Rounds to now driving BD for multiple product workstreams, so too does the BD function need to evolve to drive pipeline development for the whole of our product offerings (Allo, Grants Stack, Program Rounds, and Passport). As described in the S19 Budget Amended Budget, we defined discrete goals and objectives to help build a foundation for success. As we move forward and look ahead to the S20/21 budget cycle, we would like to build the case that the function of BD is more important than ever, and, as such, we should break out this function into a new, independent workstream. Amount The GSD Workstream requests $396,710.94 for S20/21, excluding reserves. S20 Request Amount = $194,105.97S21 Request Amount = $202,604.97 GSD Multisig: 0x5821638e2b91ad2ae5fc5af6d1f4166705e9dac2 Note: GSD will take 50% of the current reserves from the PGF Multisig to fund initial reserves after the formal creation of that workstream. # PGF S19 Budget Request **PGF S19 Budget Request** **[S19 Proposal Amended]** **S18 Milestone Update** We recognize a mixed landscape of achievements and challenges as we reflect on the progress of the Public Goods Funding (PGF) Workstream during Season 18. We have made notable strides in areas such as the operation of Gitcoin Grants Program rounds and the enrichment of the BD pipeline. We plan to refine and realign some of our objectives in the coming period to better align with areas under our span of control. This strategic recalibration will enable us to focus our efforts more effectively, ensuring that we are poised to fulfill our essential intents of Protocol Adoption, Growth, and Financial Sustainability. As such, we have centered on the following three “Top Goals” to drive our focus forward. You can find detailed information on these Top Goals on the [PGF: Top Goals Notion Page](https://www.notion.so/gitcoin/PGF-Top-Goals-216dcdc903364eaea4d6e9103397ecab?pvs=4). The Top Goals are as follows: 1. Develop and Implement a Sustainable Strategy for Gitcoin Grants. 1. Evolve BD to Drive Activity, Pipeline, and Revenue. 1. Enhance Operational Maturity. Recognizing the dynamic nature of our work and the evolving landscape, we have identified areas where adjustments are needed. As such, we will modify some of this season's initial objectives to ensure a tighter alignment with our overarching priorities. This realignment is a strategic step towards focusing our efforts more effectively and driving success in the areas that matter most to our mission. These changes are as follows: **Milestone Report for the Past Season** We will proactively track our seasonal milestones and progress on Notion moving forward. You can see a snapshot of these milestones or access the site with detailed information at the link below. [Updated S18/19 Outcomes, Projects, and Milestones ](https://gitcoin.notion.site/Updated-S18-19-Outcomes-Projects-and-Milestones-91e63049559e4db1a1823363ac9df309?pvs=4) 1) Develop and Implement a Sustainable Strategy for Gitcoin Grants 2) Evolve BD to Drive Activity, Pipeline, and Revenue 3) Enhance Operational Maturity **Budget Update** The S19 plan at the beginning of the budgeting cycle was $618,500, for which we had a core team of 13 across GG, BD, and Ops roles and three new hires budgeted. At the end of June, we adjusted our seasonal budget to $369,000, a reduction of 40.34%. This amount will serve as the amended budget for PGF through Season S19 (1 Aug 2023 through 31 October 2023). As such, PGF requests $369,000 GTC* = $369,000 for S19, excluding reserves and rolled-over amounts. Below is an overview of PGF budget requests over time. **Economics** PGF Workstream is requesting 434,118 GTC = $369,000 for S19, excluding reserves and rolled over amounts. *Price of $0.85 per GTC Target address for transfer is **PGF Multisig** **Wallet Address:** 0xa7aC9f7087d7197e0047DB9A90562a1364bf897D *All revenue generated during the past season will flow back to the DAO treasury or be rolled over to the next season. During the season, we will transparently report to CSDO and Stewards on revenue plus efforts to remediate currency fluctuations and report on these in the subsequent budget request.* We greatly value your feedback and invite you to contribute in specific areas. Thank you for your time and insights!
# [S19] Gitcoin Passport Budget This is the 2nd vote for the S18 & S19 Gitcoin Passport Budget. Previous [S18 Budget Proposal](https://www.tally.xyz/gov/gitcoin-old/proposal/58) # TL;DR This season, the Gitcoin Passport workstream will drive significant impact in the Gitcoin ecosystem by focusing on the following key outcomes: - Growing adoption and usage of Passport through development of on-chain mechanisms, user experience improvements, and broader DevRel initiatives. - Generating upside through strategic tests, including at least two revenue experiments, to identify sustainable value capture mechanisms that contribute to the long-term sustainability of the Gitcoin Passport App and the DAO. - Gathering a plurality of scoring mechanisms for communities to adopt, encouraging innovation from the broader community and making Passport a more versatile tool for managing identity and reputation. - Galvanizing community experiences around Passport by researching and potentially enabling custom community experiences, integration capabilities, and branded Passport experiences natively in their applications. ## Measurement Measuring progress against these goals will be critically important: **Growing adoption** - Increase the number of Passports by 5x (to 1MM) - Maintain an average stamp count of 8 or higher per passport. - Increase the number of integrators by 5x **Generating upside** - Test at least two experiments to generate upside - Generate at least $1 in revenue **Galvanize community experiences** - Research and decide if we should build custom community experiences. # Economics Passport Workstream is requesting 605,779GTC* = $529,451 for S19, excluding reserves and rolled over amounts. *Price of $0.874 per GTC
