Dear Arber- On July 30th, the Curve Finance alETH/ETH pool was exploited. Because the exploiter was not clean in his execution, the pool was left with alETH but no ETH. This imbalance allowed arbitrage and MEV bots to purchase alETH for cents on the dollar. Unlike the impermanent loss to which LPers typically expose themselves, the loss to LPers here is permanent. In effect, arbitrageurs in the immediate aftermath of the exploit have stolen directly from LPers. Your address is one that we have identified as one that took advantage of this exploitative arbitrage opportunity. This has inadvertently destroyed the savings of many of Curve s users, most of whom are normal users, not whales. It has also endangered the future viability of our protocol. In the interest of limiting the damage to our liquidity providers and potential future negative externalities of these events, we are asking if you are open to negotiating a white hat return of at least some of the profits that you made in the wake of the exploit. Please indicate your willingness to talk by emailing us at recovery@mail.alchemix.fi. After you email us, we will ask you to verify your ownership of this address with a signed message. Respectfully, The Alchemix Team
It was a white hat operation from the very beginning, I was on vacation when I saw the JPEGd exploit and I found a place to open my laptop to see what was going on, it really confused me why the nonreentrant decorator was bypassed, but I didn't have time to figure everything out, so i writed code and test all ETH pools, i knew many others are doing the same thing, I'm not sure if they will refund, so i need to beat them I received your bounty message, but i think 20% ie 2400 ethers is a reasonable reward, we can discuss about it For 0x60eE0C8Bb493b79286A54997322904f74fba3736, I saw your operations on chain, you're really a ridiculous asshole.
