!<p><strong>Ethereum</strong></p><p><em>Or, a vision in a Web3 dream.&nbsp;</em></p><p>In blockchain did Ethereum</p><p>A sovereign universe decree:</p><p>Where ETH, our sacred river, ran</p><p>Through platforms measureless to man</p><p>Down to the DeFi sea.</p><p>’Til twice a thousand nodes were bound</p><p>Guardians protecting holy ground;</p><p>And there were L2s bright with sinuous rills,</p><p>Where blossomed regens, degens, DAOs and dapps;</p><p>And here were ideals, ancient as the hills,</p><p>BUIDLing beneath the hype, the noise, the hacks.</p><p></p><p>But oh! that deep romantic vision called</p><p>Of Trustless States and Supranational DAOs!</p><p>A liberating place! as holy and enchanted</p><p>As e’er beneath a waning moon was haunted</p><p>By exit liquidity lamenting moloch!</p><p>And from this chasm, with repeated rugpulls seething,</p><p>As if Web3 with ragged breath was breathing,</p><p>A mighty Merge momently was birthed:</p><p>Amid whose mighty Proof of Stake burst</p><p>Danksharding promising our true scale,</p><p>Accounts abstracting like a Web3 sail:</p><p>And mid these milestones at once and ever</p><p>Onward flowed that sacred river.</p><p>Five miles meandering with mazy motion</p><p>Through DEX and CEX the sacred river ran,</p><p>Spawning L2s and App Chains measureless to man,</p><p>On into composability ocean;</p><p>And ‘mid this tumult Vitalik heard from far</p><p>SEC voices prophesying war!</p><p>The shadow of ultrasound money</p><p>Floated midway on the waves;</p><p>Where was heard the mingled measure</p><p>Of our desires to free the slaves.</p><p>It was a miracle of rare device,</p><p>DeFi summer with shards of ice!</p><p></p><p>A cryptopunk 6529</p><p>In a tweetstorm once I did see:</p><p>It was an eloquent anon</p><p>And on his twitter feed he played,</p><p>Singing of human liberty.</p><p>Could I revive within me</p><p>His symphony and song,</p><p>To such deep delight ‘twould win me,</p><p>That with code unhackable and strong,</p><p>I would build that Web3 world,</p><p>Those DeFi pools! Those Bankless states!</p><p>And politicians cry, Beware!
