This USDC isn’t sitting there as a deliberate treasury play, it’s just leftover funds from cancelled props. Default should be converting it back to ETH, not optimizing a USDC position that shouldn’t exist in the first place. It’s under 5% of Treasury anyway, so squeezing yield out of it is a rounding error against the 95% we hold in ETH. Tom Lee needs us.
The offer/clearing price right now is below the backing thats been set, so the incentive is to just collect the eth. fwa's own 1.3% keep rate backs that up. I dont think this onboards any new dao participation either, especially when people who already bought in to participate struggle to even show up to vote. As a tool to distribute nouns, i dont believe it works. as a tool to generate %, i struggle to see the upside. Maybe its fun for the dao to become a depositor in the project, but its not that exciting to me.
Reduce the ask and drop the twenty percent. It’s immaterial, a hundred and fifty dollars a month isn’t worth the accounting overhead, and it just taxes his ability to grow. Give him a clean grant
Voted against this role from the start and still don’t think it justifies this level of pay. Ending it isn’t the issue for me. But I’ll abstain on this proposal because a single proposal lifecycle isn’t enough time for someone to actually prepare for losing their income. A version of this with some real transition time would be better. This is a standing admin role someone built their income around, and that deserves some room to adjust. Mr Dial up can sort it out anyway.(5g)
nouns-×-octant-—-co‑funding-builders-sustainablyI prefer a gradual ownership model. You deposit ETH, the yield accumulates, and once it reaches the book value of a Noun you automatically become its permanent owner. The Noun gets bought from the treasury at fair rate. Depositing into a yield vault should not beat auctions for votes. You could withdraw anytime after getting major influence, which feels unfair.
fund-public-goods-with-defi-native-borrowingThe extra management from redemption/trove hunting feels like a mismatch for DAOs. Delegation can offset it a little, but does anyone really want that responsibility without getting compensated? (Imagine the positive comments if a DAO Trove gets redeemed 😅) ? something more passive where the market or governance just works out the rate. No constant watching or delegation hassles. Aave/GHO or Spark/USDS,no sharks in the pool, just order books doing their thing. That said, a Trove could have advantages if we upgraded the auction contracts to send daily auction proceeds straight to our DAO-controlled Trove, steadily pushing up the collateral. (not sure possible using Aave/spark 👨‍🔧🪠 It would mostly just be borrow/repay plus redeem any extra ETH, instead of those “oh shit bad price add more ETH” emergency moments (though yeah, the market can always bite. 3AC thought they were safe once too).
duna-discussionAccounting Provider Update The DAO’s agreement with its current accounting provider concluded at the end of January. Throughout the past year, the team evaluated multiple providers in preparation for this transition. Two options are currently under consideration: New Provider Proposal $4,350/month $425/month pass-through tooling fee Total: $4,775/month ($57,300/year) Counter Proposal $50,000/year Equivalent to approximately $4,166.67/month A decision will be made after evaluating the cost, capabilities, and continuity considerations of both options. https://paragraph.com/@nouns/2026-duna-updates 👀 Are we hiring J.P. Morgan, the man to review our 30 transactions a month?
# Convert $500k USDC Surplus to ETH Use admin wallet to buy 500k USDC of ETH. On execution. run a 24h TWAP on CowSwap – split 500k USDC into 24 swaps for ETH. Once done. stake the ETH on Lido, wrap to wstETH, send to treasury. We have surplus USDC from returned funds. The DAO should be an ETH DAO. Tokenbuyer can function to provide usdc to people if they need usdc. convert-500k-usdc-surplus-to-eth
Not against a reserve at all, but we’re literally right on the doorstep of founder rewards ending at #1820 feels like we should just push past that first before switching things up
We got a chance to partner with a top 10 staked ETH provider, who wants to work with Nouns and check out our ecosystem. For Nouns to succeed, Ethereum’s gotta succeed, and having a big player in staking on our side is a win. I would like Mantle to do more than just watch how Nouns runs. I hope they get in deep with our community, maybe throw some cash at Nouns community projects, donate to our treasury, or have MNT Team bid on Nouns auctions and switch up their PFPs to show alignment. They could fund projects and ideas that fit Nouns This is a shot to show the skeptical folks this aint just a shallow look-see or them poking around. By putting in real work, like funding, jumping in, and sharing goals, can show they mean business about building something big with Nouns.
Engaging children in noun characters/web3 while providing opportunities for a local community appears to be a worthwhile endeavour. However, the intertwining of Prop709 makes me slightly apprehensive. I’m not fully informed on the situation taking the words in this feed at face value.

# Unstake 1,000 stETH Let’s unstake some of our current stETH to increase treasury diversification options. With the mETH topic suggesting two options, I’m a firm believer in the traditional unstake-and-claim approach. Here is the first proposal in a two-part, edge-of-your-seat governance week.unstake-1,000-steth-1

It's great to see Leo receiving interest from funding groups outside of nouns. I'm not convinced the “WHY NOUNS” section is that strong here. Hopefully base set up and allow you to create this project without this 19k from nouns.
I like the artistic representation of a wolf, but ultimately, it feels out of place with other noun heads. I’m hopeful of seeing a white toothed abacus 🧮 prop soon, so the DAO bean counters can have a mascot.
basepaint-documentary Could you please clarify whether Base has formally committed the $39K mentioned in the proposal? If so, it would be helpful to see a link or reference confirming their support.
The trait looks visually unbalanced to me, noggles seem to be swinging in the breeze on the left, As much as the donation transaction is a great outcome if successful this one isn't to my liking.
