**Moments** is an exploration of memory and nostalgia, with nature and architecture as its subjects, inspired by my peaceful experiences in traditional Japanese ryokans.

## **The Digital Collection**
The Digital Collection is a long form series and an animated piece that will loop through 4 different palettes for each NFT, emulating the time passing through seasons.
My inspiration for this collection comes from serene and dear memories of my time in Japan. For me, traveling there means experiencing relaxing, inspiring moments in traditional ryokans—far away from the city, surrounded by nature (sometimes literally in the middle of the forest), where you can genuinely focus on self-care. You spend time in an onsen, enjoy beautifully curated and prepared meals, and return to your room with an incredible view of the outdoors.
These places have a unique kind of architecture: minimalistic yet carefully constructed. Last year, I read a book called In Praise of Shadows by Junichiro Tanizaki, which helped me connect more deeply with the evolution of Japanese culture, linking a past I didn't know with the present day. Everything suddenly made sense to me. In a way, because of this book, I started seeing the Japan I knew differently (I noticed many many details), but also I started to have a look at my life and surroundings differently.
Today, whenever I’m faced with complicated moments or need to figure out a solution, I mentally revisit my time in those ryokans. It’s become a kind of escape for me, a place where I find peace. It also brings up a lot of nostalgia from my experiences there.
Earlier, I mentioned the architecture—I've decided to use that as the foundation for Moments. My starting point was the Japanese Shoji doors, constructed from wooden frames and washi paper. They became the structural basis for my artwork, where each block acts as a window into a memory, a window into a particular moment or passage of time.
Nature appears either clearly through a seasonal color palette or more subtly suggested by organic elements and movements. The geometric structure is blending with more organic elements. This approach reflects the idea of ephemerality—representing nostalgia, memories that were once clear but have since been reconstructed again and again, ultimately transforming into something uniquely ours, reshaped through multiple layers of reflection.

## **The Curated Collection**
The Curated Collection is a special selection of 10 distinct pieces, handpicked at different times over four months of experimentation and refinement. Each artwork captures a unique moment, showcasing variations in composition, palette, and mood. They narrate the evolution of my algorithm, from initial explorations to sophisticated states closer to its final form.
Printed on **Canson watercolor paper 310g** and elegantly framed in **white aluminum**,
each piece is individually **enhanced by hand with dry and wet pastel pencils and oil pastel**— adding depth, texture, and tangibility. Adding a new layer of "human hand" that will add the final stroke to the artwork.
The NFT contains the original digital piece, before any hand intervention.
These pieces invite viewers to slow down and fully immerse themselves in their subtle details and evocative atmospheres. Observing them from afar reveals their harmonious structure and contemplative movement; moving closer uncovers all its details, textures and subtile layers of colors that live on top of each others.
My intention is for each viewer to experience a sense of calm surprise, encouraging curiosity and introspection, and ultimately feeling transported into their own serene "moment."
"Odysseys" is all about diving into a mix of cool digital vibes and a splash of old-school storybook magic. Imagine flipping through your favorite childhood adventure book, but with a twist—there's a bit of a pixel party going on. It's like these pieces are little puzzles, maps of epic tales that happened once upon a time, captured in a single frame. Think of it as a snapshot of a whole adventure from start to finish, with every corner holding a piece of the action.
Each artwork is kind of like a treasure map or a game level that's already been played through. You can zoom into any part of the picture and spot different bits of the story—maybe a fierce battle here, a wild discovery there. It's like having a bird's-eye view of a whole world of tales, all squished into one vibrant, living scene.
The cool thing about these pieces? They're a mix of old and new. You've got pixels and glitches that might remind you of video games, mashed up with these swirly waves that could totally belong in a Van Gogh painting. But let's not stop there. Imagine those waves carrying a bit of that serene, intricate beauty you find in Japanese byōbu panels or estampes—those stunning artworks that tell a story all on their own. It's this blend that's all about sparking that feeling of nostalgia, like a nod to the fun, colorful, and sometimes chaotic stories that filled our heads as kids.
I'm not trying to spell out a specific message with the digital and organic bits clashing and mingling in my work. It's more about creating something that looks cool and feels a bit nostalgic, something that makes you think of adventures and stories in a new way.
What I really hope is that when you check out these pieces, you'll start seeing your own stories in them. I've set the stage with these algorithms and designs, but it's up to you to fill in the blanks. Maybe you'll see a piece and think, "Hey, that looks like the secret forest from that game I loved," or "That totally reminds me of the pirate stories I used to dream about." Or maybe you'll catch a hint of that tranquil, detailed vibe you get from Japanese art, making the story even richer. That's the goal—making art that's not just mine but becomes a bit of yours too.
In 2022, as I was experiencing my first year as a father, I was often asking myself what impact I would have on my son, and how much my actions will be part of what will make him “him”. I started a slow introspection on the subject, and at the end of the year, I released “Foundations”, a series that focuses on the origins of our identity.
“Tout tracé” is the second act, and its direct continuity.
In French, it means *“All mapped out”*, referring to the idea of an all planned future or *“a ready made path”.*
This series is the counterpoint of this vision.
Life is full of surprises, good or bad, and each moment will have an impact on us, creating our set of experiences, many of them involuntary and embedded in our existence.
As humans, we are in constant evolution and therefore, on a quest of identity; of who we really are.
We are surrounded by expectations : from society, culture, religion, parents, friends, family… A list of rules that need to be followed and lived by; but, at the end of the day, I believe that only our choices matter.
Like “Foundations”, the composition of “Tout tracé” is grid based: full of boxes expected to be filled.
But this series is about growth, evolution, expression and re-definition. It’s about fighting against the structure in place, finding our own voice and re-shaping our reality.
It is finding its uniqueness and identity that will be revealed through the millions of lines drawing each artwork, technically signing the idea of “Tout tracé”, that comes with a double meaning: *“All drawn”*.
