Loved seeing error gardener at Far Con LA and definitely love hanging with the park at FWB Fest. Feel like those activations especially could be a great opportunity for my creative friends from school in nyc to come out and connect with aligned communities building onchain. > Wanted to welcome everyone OFFCHAIN and hope this prop finds you all well! I think our project represents a real opportunity to marry the counterculture of the onchain world with the nouns universe, especially when we all represent these interests in real life. We’re skateboarders, musicians, artists, and at the same time some of us are moms & dads, uncles, teachers... It takes a lot to coordinate something as special as we were able to do in two weeks, especially with most of our core team in all different timezones around the world.

> I thank everyone for the criticisms regarding vote proximity to the event. I will say I’d love to see us come back to a web3 where we can can move great ideas at lightning speed. For what it costs to activate all these great partners and their crews, the cultural return on content capture alone is a value prop far cheaper than any traditional projects you’d find at the same scale in the normal world. There’s a lot to gain from this turn-key event especially for a decentralized entity that is selective about spend-to-return ratio, whether that is cultural capital or money in the bank.

> Now that the TREV Talk is out of the way, I’ll be sharing a bunch of updates from OFFCHAIN as it stands (as of posting) with some changes/announcements the core team would like to make immediately.

> 1. We will no longer be presenting the skate jam with HIGHER. Some of our HIGHER friends will be joining us on the day, but just as friends! The event will now be now as the OFFCHAIN Skatejam and will be open to all!

> 2. We will now be allocating a portion of the skate jam budget into creating a GNARS approved noggle rail to be left permanently in for the local skaters. It will be the first nounstacle to be made in NYC.

> 3. We will no longer be using Noun Coffee for the skate jam. Instead, we will source local NYC bagels (it's the water they tell us), pastries, juice and coffee for our skaters and guests. The remainder we will allocate towards helping rail welder costs.

> 4. Our friends at BASED GHOULS will be co-presenting the Flowers for Memories stand, on the condition that I used dried (dead) flowers for the arrangements. I have agreed to these terms.

> hi. im a guest in the house of nouns but a longtime operator of the internet. i hear that the nouns community might be open to some "outsider thoughts" so figured i'd offer a cent or two:

> OFFCHAIN is cool as heck! it's cool without being like the popular kids at school who are vapid and dgaf. it feels hip, thoughtful, warm, and unlike any other web3 event to have happened in the past 4 years. it feels like something i could attend and not feel pressured to have to prove my intelligence, or myself. i feel like i could make a lot of new friends.

> the internet (and web3 in general, imo) needs more builders who aren't obsessed with gains, metrics, and "what's next" - it's a dated and boring way to operate. we're literally meat suits stuck on a rock that is hurling itself through space and time, but don't do the fun, cool thing because it's impact can't be broken down into a qt pie chart. sure there might be other FarCon events, but i guarantee they will be bland and not well executed compared to OFFCHAIN.
