For example if humans want to communicate with computers we use computer programming languages to give them instructions. If humans want to explain the laws of physics in detail we use mathematics, gods language. Money is another language and form of speech, we use it to communicate value. Just like with any other language, we should have the freedom to choose whichever one we want. This is a direct attack from private banks that want to force us into using their monetary languages, so they can manipulate the financial world however they see fit. This is a direct attack on freedom of speech.

On second thought, someone could tip their own post from another wallet, to boost their odds of winning without losing any money. So it would have to be a random post that wins, which encourages spam so the smart contract should only consider $1 posts and up.

Instead of having the DAI burnt, have you considered making a smart contract that put the DAI into pool together, makes it impossible for the principal to be withdrawn (effectively burning it) but if a smoke signal ticket won, then the prize would be withdrawn by the smart contract and given to the highest tipped post at the time, or maybe a post chosen at random that has at least 1 DAI "burnt". Thus giving another incentive for people to take part, posting/tipping and not just only using for censored type topics. Just a random thought, not sure how hard that would be to make work or what changes might need to be made. The contract would need some ether to pay transactions fees I think, maybe it could batch lots of DAI like only put in new DAI into PT once a month, and rely on people donating the ether to the contract. Not sure how that would work. I feel like something cool like this should use money legos towards its advantage, if this gets big then the smoke signal contract would grow big in PT, Not only would you get to take part in the immutable censorship resistance future, but you could play the lotto at the same time.
