While we see the intent and value behind this proposal, Bix’s conduct in public and private conversations has not demonstrated the professionalism or temperament needed for this role.
After respectfully sharing our concerns and telling Bix that our signaling against this proposal wasn't personal, she ended the conversation by stating, “Oh no, it’s very personal now.” (https://imgur.com/a/uO891qd) That reaction only reinforces our doubts about her maturity and the professional qualities essential for a role focused on neutrality, transparency, and accountability.
We still believe this work should be handled by an independent, qualified party that can operate with credibility and distance from internal politics. Anyone taking this on should have the necessary experience, trust, and neutrality to represent the DAO without question.
Even then, the current scope and budget should be reduced, and the role should be more clearly defined.
