Book value is now 24.32 per https://dune.com/beetle/nouns-dao-book-vs-auction-value and is likely to go down to ~20 when https://nouns.wtf/vote/397. I think we are approaching a sort of equilibrium where auctions will likely trade, and I also do not want to risk our nouns sitting in escrow for a prolonged period of time especially since we have the bidet prop we wanted to sponsor but now cant bc fork. Current quorum in nouns is 33, with a max of 50. As more fork, our voting block is increasingly valuable and I would like to try and leverage it.
I am not convinced that we will see an opportunity to buy back lower unless the eth burn mechanism is put into place, which I do not support, or the arb opportunity depletes Nouns DAO to 0 anyways. Deploying capital at a fixed rate (to avoid burn) to stop the arb opportunity will incentivize grifting instead of waiting out for good builders who may have better ideas that require more capital.
I am not confident enough that forking is our best option currently.
