Great question. We explored renting, but it’s not a viable option in Thailand for this type of industrial packaging equipment — rental markets for food-grade drip bag machines simply don’t exist here the way they do in the US or EU.
Ownership is the only path to reliable, consistent production at the volume and quality this proposal requires. And it’s worth noting that this machine doesn’t just serve this proposal. It becomes the engine behind every future Nouns-branded drip bag run, KOL collaboration, and web3 drop.
The royalties we’ve structured flow directly back to Nouns, giving the community a self-funding mechanism to keep producing and giving away branded coffee at conferences, events, and community activations. That’s proliferation in a cup. Every bag is a touchpoint, every event is a new audience.

> It looks like the majority of the prop ask: $43,810 is towards the purchase of a machine. How would the costs change if this machine was `rented` / `accessed` instead of purchased?
