# ☕ Lil Nouns Coffee — Thailand TikTok Shop Pilot ⌐◨-◨
## TLDR
Coffee Culture Asia requests **$2,500 USD** to produce **2,000 premium Thai drip coffee bags** branded with Lil Nouns, seed 200 bags to Thai KOLs and TikTok affiliates, and sell the remaining 1,800 bags through our existing **TikTok Shop** in Thailand — with **20% of all revenue generated flowing back to the Lil Nouns treasury.**
The goal is twofold: proliferate the ⌐◨-◨ through Thai Web2 audiences, and pilot a coffee line that generates real revenue for the treasury through social commerce. ⌐◨-◨☕

## What Is a Coffee Drip Bag?
Tear it open, hook it over any cup, pour hot water — in minutes you have a full, rich café-quality coffee. No machine. No equipment. No mess.

**One of the most giftable and brandable coffee formats in the world.** The same format that launched [Emma Chamberlain's coffee line](https://www.instagram.com/reels/DMGCBD4xR7r/) into a global brand. **One bag. One cup. Anywhere.**

## Product
A **Lil Nouns branded drip coffee bag** — premium Thai Arabica sourced directly from small-scale farmers in Chiang Rai, and Chiang Mai, sealed in a food-safe filter pouch and randed with the ⌐◨-◨.
The drip bag format is universally accessible, lightweight to ship globally, and highly giftable — making it the ideal format for community seeding and social commerce. Every bag represents Lil Nouns as a brand that shows up in the real world: in kitchens, offices, and content creators' hands across Thailand.
Each bag ships with a **branded card promoting Lil Nouns** — turning every cup into a discovery moment. ⌐◨-◨
---
## Design & Brand
The Lil Nouns ⌐◨-◨ features prominently on the bag label — The design follows the visual language established by the **Lil Nouns Coffee Rave** — keeping the theme.

---
## Production
**Supplier:** Coffee Culture Asia's existing production facility in Thailand, using the same supply chain that already serves five star hotels in Thailand, and thousands of DTC customers globally.
**Materials:** Premium Thai Arabica sourced directly from independent roasters in the northern highlands. Food-safe filter pouches, nitrogen-flush sealed for freshness.
**Schedule:**
- Label design finalised — Week 1
- Production complete — Week 2–4
- KOL seeding begins — Week 5
- TikTok Shop listing live — Week 5
---
## Distribution
**2,000 bags** produced and distributed across one channel — Coffee Culture's TikTok Shop in Thailand — with 200 distributed free to KOLs and TikTok affiliates to drive content and sales, and 1,800 available for purchase through the shop.
**KOL Seeding & TikTok Affiliates — 200 bags** Selected Thai lifestyle, food, and coffee creators receive bags and produce organic content. TikTok affiliates earn commission on sales they drive generating and exposure with their content — incentivising high-quality content at no extra cost to the prop.
**TikTok Shop Sales — 1,800 bags** Listed on Coffee Culture's existing TikTok Shop storefront in Thailand. Paid TikTok ads amplify the best-performing organic KOL content — seeding first, then putting budget behind what converts.
Fulfilment handled directly by Coffee Culture. All inventory stored at our production facility
in Thailand. Shipping within Thailand via standard courier, international orders fulfilled on request.
---
## Costs & Pricing ⌐◨-◨
The **$2,500 USD** budget is allocated as follows:
**Coffee production — $1,500** 2,000 premium Thai Arabica drip 16g/bags at $0.75/bag wholesale — sourced directly from independent roasters in Thailand's northern highlands, ground, packaged,
and quality controlled at Coffee Culture's facility.
**Label design, printing & shipping — $400** Custom Lil Nouns ⌐◨-◨ label artwork, printed in China and shipped to Thailand for application to packaging. Mockups shared with the community for approval before
going to print.
**TikTok paid ads — $400** Amplification of best-performing organic KOL content on TikTok — seeding first, then putting budget behind what converts. TikTok's algorithm rewards content that already performs, making this a capital-efficient way to extend reach beyond the Web3 audience into
mainstream Thai coffee buyers.
**KOL seeding coordination & shipping — $200** 200 bags sent to selected Thai lifestyle, food, and coffee creators and TikTok affiliates. Affiliates earn commission on sales they drive — incentivising high-quality content at no extra fixed cost.
---
## Community Impact
**20% of all net revenue flows back to the Lil Nouns treasury** — transferred at the end of the 90-day pilot with full on-chain transparency.
Beyond the financial return, this pilot places the ⌐◨-◨ in front of a mainstream Thai Web2 audience through TikTok — a platform with over 40 million users in Thailand alone. Every KOL post, every unboxing, every cup brewed is an organic Lil Nouns impression reaching people who have never encountered the Nouns ecosystem.
A 90-day public report will document total bags sold, KOL and affiliate content created, TikTok Shop revenue, estimated reach, and the treasury transfer — giving the community full visibility into the pilot's performance and a data-backed case for scaling.

⌐◨-◨-x-🐧---nouns-coffee-—-a-pilot-collab-with-pudgy-penguins
Appreciate the feedback on the Nouncil call last week. Just a few things that were pointed out.
So first was the quality of the coffee. Some mentioned Costa and Lavazza. Personally, I’m not very familiar with those brands, but the variety in coffee is endless and everyone has different taste preferences, so it’s hard to please everyone. However, my company supplies coffee to Amanpuri, a luxury resort that has hosted Brad Pitt, The Rolling Stones, Beyoncé, among other celebrities. We also supply to the Vanderbilt Estate, owned by the founder of Tommy Hilfiger, whom I personally had the privilege of selling our coffee to directly. The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok and Rosewood Phuket are also among our clients. So we are not just slapping the Nouns logo on a random coffee that has not been vetted. We work with some serious names in hospitality.
Also, it was mentioned that we don’t have a content plan, which is true, we don’t. This is a pilot project that could roll out on a larger scale later on. But there is already distribution and collaboration starting with Pudgy Penguins through a legitimate licensing deal. This alone brings awareness from one of the top Web3 NFT collections out there. Second, the goal is for Nouns holders to actually get product in their hands, while also allocating product to IRL events as marketing support for activations.
Third, there are Web2 collaborations at this stage with local KOLs. We are also pushing this on TikTok through affiliates, where creators are incentivized to generate content and earn commissions. In fact, we could even adjust commissions to 60-70% to further incentivize promotion, essentially paying creators through affiliate commissions to generate content around the product.
To summarize:
• Web3 collabs
• Web3 KOL and holder seeding
• Web3 event activations IRL
• Web2 KOLs (currently focused on Thailand)
Another point mentioned was that coffee props are not exciting anymore. I get it, but we are not proposing a physical location or a pop-up event, which has already been tried. This is an actual product line: easy to distribute, memorable, and one of the reasons we are getting traction on the hotel side. https://x.com/i/status/2052972816975430122
# ⌐◨-◨ x 🐧 - Nouns Coffee — A Pilot Collab with Pudgy Penguins
## TLDR
Nouns and Pudgy Penguins have already built together — **[Prop 325](https://www.nouns.camp/proposals/325)** funded a Pudgy x Nouns toy collab featuring
a Pudgy wearing Noggles. That relationship exists.
That IP overlap is proven. Now it's time to brew it.

We are requesting **$8,350 USD** for a pilot project
to test coffee as a proliferation vehicle — putting Nouns behind
every Web3 coffee collab, one community at a time. The goal is
to prove that co-branded coffee drops can drive real-world Nouns
presence globally, and in the future generate revenue through
royalties for the treasury while supplying coffee swag for
activations at scale.
This pilot starts with **Nouns x Pudgy Penguins** — three unique
label designs, each featuring a licensed Pudgy wearing ⌐◨-◨.
**3,000 bags = 3,000 cups of coffee**, distributed across four
channels: KOL seeding, Nouns holder claims, DYLI, TikTok Shop Thailand,
and direct IRL event distribution.
If the pilot works, the same playbook rolls out to Bored Apes,
Doodles, Azuki, Cool Cats, and beyond — with Nouns anchoring
every drop and royalties from each collab flowing back to the
treasury with every bag sold.
**One bag. One cup. Two communities. Everywhere.** 🐧☕ ⌐◨-◨ 🐧
---
## The Existing Relationship
This is not a cold pitch. The Nouns x Pudgy relationship
already lives on-chain.
**Prop 325 — ⌐◨-◨ x Pudgy Penguins** — was a funded Nouns DAO
collaboration with Pudgy Penguins, creating a unique collectible
combining the Noggles with the playful spirit of Pudgy Penguins.
The DAO already said yes to this creative partnership.
We're proposing the next chapter — same two brands, same visual
overlap, different medium.
And we've already proven the coffee side works. Coffee Culture
Asia is the production partner behind **Pengu Coffee** — a live
Pudgy Penguins-branded Thai drip coffee line, produced in
partnership with [Abstract Ellies](https://abstractellies.com/) already shipped to customers
in 20+ countries. [https://x.com/i/status/2036027676948128213](https://x.com/i/status/2036027676948128213)

> \*Note: Designs shown are for presentation purposes only.
The Pudgy x Nouns coffee bag is the natural creative evolution
of both Prop 325 and the Pengu Coffee proof of concept. The
goals: open new distribution channels across Web3 and Web2,
get listed on Pudgy's official shop, and position Nouns as
the caffeine supplier of Web3 — one collab at a time.

## What Is a Coffee Drip Bag?

A drip bag is the simplest, most portable way to brew a genuine
cup of freshly ground coffee — no machine, no equipment, no mess.
Tear it open, hook it over any cup, pour hot water slowly over
the grounds — in minutes you have a full, rich, café-quality
coffee.
**One of the most brandable premium coffee formats in the world.** Each bag is a small canvas — perfect for collabs, event drops,
and community gifting. The same format that launched [Emma Chamberlain's coffee line](https://www.instagram.com/reels/DMGCBD4xR7r/) into a global brand. **One bag. One cup. Anywhere in the world.**

## Already in the Field — Devcon Bangkok 2024 & Beyond
In November 2024, Daniel personally distributed Coffee
Culture drip bags at **Devcon Bangkok** and multiple side
events — with support from **[GroundsDAO](https://grounds.wtf/grounds/dao/proposals/5)** & **[BaseDAO](https://nouns.build/dao/base/0x10a5676EC8aE3D6b1F36a6F1A1526136BA7938BF/vote/29)**.

entirely organically. No paid distribution. No ad budget.

This is what happens when the product is good and the
community is motivated. A Nouns x Pudgy bag lands
differently — two recognisable brands on one cup,
with a story worth sharing. The UGC writes itself.
---
## The Ask — Itemised Budget
**$8,350 USD** — wholesale cost, zero margin:
| Line Item | Detail | Amount |
| ----------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | ------ |
| Drip bag production | 3,000 bags at $0.89/bag | $2,670 |
| OverpassIP licensing | 3 Pudgy NFT holders × $120 each | $360 |
| Label design & printing plate | 3× Pudgy wearing ⌐◨-◨ artwork + plates | $1,200 |
| Boxes & branded packaging | 600 co-branded Nouns x Pudgy boxes + QR inserts | $700 |
| KOL outreach & shipping | Coordination, licensing delta + shipping | $1,980 |
| DYLI logistics & fulfilment | Packaging, shipping, handling | $700 |
| TikTok creator incentives | Samples + creator programme | $290 |
| Documentation & 90-day report | Photography, UGC tracking, posts | $500 |
| Contingency | Customs, handling, unexpected costs | $450 |
| Total | | $8,350 |
**The majority of this budget is community distribution —
not commercial production:**
- KOL seeding and Nouns holder claims → pure giveaway,
UGC, and proliferation
- 1,200 individual bags → direct IRL event distribution
at Devcon, NFT NYC, ETH Denver, NounsCon, and beyond
Only **300 boxes** are allocated to sales channels —
split between DYLI and TikTok Shop. The revenue from
those 300 boxes will be modest at pilot scale, but that
is the point — this test gives us precise visibility into
real costs, margins, and channel performance. Whatever
is generated flows directly back to the Nouns treasury.
This is a hybrid approach: mostly community proliferation,
with a small commercial pilot to evaluate viability and
explore a sustainable way for Nouns to generate recurring
revenue as the Web3 coffee provider — one collab at a time.
All bags priced at wholesale. Noun Holders pay their own
shipping directly. All net proceeds from DYLI
and TikTok Shop sent directly to the Nouns treasury, with
full transparency published in the 90-day report.
---
---
## What This Prop Does
### The Product
**Three unique Nouns x Pudgy Penguins co-branded drip bag
labels** — each featuring a different licensed Pudgy wearing
the ⌐◨-◨ Noggles. Premium Thai Arabica inside every bag.
Every bag ships with a branded card and QR code linking to
nouns.wtf.

**3,000 bags = 3,000 cups of coffee**, distributed across
four channels to maximise reach, UGC, and revenue back to
the treasury. Three designs. Three Pudgys. One cup of coffee.
---
### Step 1 — OverpassIP Licensing (Weeks 1–2)
Launch an **[OverpassIP](https://www.overpassip.com/deal/68)** licensing deal to select **3 Pudgy Penguins NFTs** — one per
label design. Each selected Pudgy holder receives a fixed
licensing fee of **$120 USD**, paid directly from this prop's
budget. This is the same licensing channel used for the
existing Pengu Coffee line, where two rounds generated a
combined **2,394 asset submissions** from holders eager to
see their Pudgy on a physical product.
Final label artwork is commissioned based on the 3 selected
Pudgys, with the ⌐◨-◨ Noggles featured prominently on each.
---
### Step 2 — Production (Weeks 4–6)
**3,000 bags** produced at Coffee Culture's facility in
Thailand using premium Thai Coffee:
- **1,800 bags** packed into **600 co-branded boxes** (3 bags per box) for KOL seeding, holder claims,
DYLI, and [TikTok Shop](https://www.tiktok.com/@coffeeculturethailand?_r=1&_t=ZS-95uHouog9fb)
- **1,200 bags** kept individually for direct IRL event
distribution — handed out at conferences and community
activations on a first-come, first-served basis
---
### Step 3 — Distribution (Weeks 7–10)
**3,000 bags = 3,000 cups across four channels:**
**KOL Seeding — coordinated by Coffee Culture** Identifying, reaching, and shipping to KOLs across the
Nouns, Pudgy and NFT communities — builders, creators, active
voices, and event organisers. Directly determines the UGC
the DAO receives in return.
**Nouns Holder Claims** Available to any Nouns holder on a first-come, first-served
basis 3 boxes per holder. Holders cover their own shipping fees, coordinated
directly with Coffee Culture.
**DYLI — Web3 Sales Channel** Boxes listed on [DYLI](https://www.dyli.io) — a Web3
platform where physical products are traded digitally and
redeemed on demand. All net proceeds sent to the Nouns
treasury.
**TikTok Shop Thailand — Web2 Sales Channel** Boxes listed on Coffee Culture's existing TikTok Shop
storefront in Thailand, reaching a large mainstream
Southeast Asian audience. Free samples sent to TikTok
creators with high incentives to produce content — driving
organic algorithm reach and brand impressions at no
additional cost. All net proceeds from TikTok Shop sales
sent to the Nouns treasury.
**IRL Event Distribution — individual bags** 1,200 individual bags reserved for direct distribution
at Web3 conferences and community activations — 300 bags per event,
**first-come, first-served**. Events where Nouns already
has presence, including:
- Devcon
- NFT NYC
- ETH Denver
- NounsCon
- ETHGlobal events
- Regional Nouns IRL meetups
Any Nouner organising or attending an activation can
request an allocation in advance. The ⌐◨-◨ shows up
wherever the community shows up.
---
### Step 4 — Pudgy Shop Pitch (Weeks 11–12)
Leverage Coffee Culture's existing Pudgy production
relationship to formally pitch the co-branded Nouns x Pudgy
drip bag for listing on the **[Pudgy Penguins official store](https://store.pudgypenguins.com)**.
They already sell the Nouns x Pudgy toy from Prop 325 —
the relationship exists. A listed product means ongoing
sales, ongoing Nouns branding in front of one of Web3's
most commercially active communities, and royalties
flowing back to the Nouns treasury with every unit sold.
---
### Step 5 — 90-Day Report (Week 12)
A public community post documenting:
- Total bags distributed and countries reached
- UGC collected — photos, posts, reactions from both communities
- DYLI and TikTok Shop sales data + treasury transfer
- Pudgy shop listing status
- Lessons learned and the case for the follow-on prop
---
Production & Distribution Plan
**Total production: 3,000 drip bags = 3,000 cups of coffee**
| Allocation | Quantity | Format | Revenue to Treasury |
| -------------------- | --------------------------------- | -------------- | ------------------------- |
| KOL seeding | \~100 boxes | Boxed (3 bags) | No — brand & UGC |
| Nouns holder claims | \~150 boxes | Boxed (3 bags) | No — shipping only |

## This Is a Revenue Pilot — Not Just Proliferation
This prop is designed to test a repeatable model for Nouns
proliferation and treasury revenue. The Pudgy Penguins collab
is the first run — chosen because the relationship already
exists, the licensing channel is proven, and the community
overlap is strong. But the playbook is built to scale.
If the pilot demonstrates demand — through sales, holder
engagement, and UGC reach — the same model rolls out to
other major NFT communities, with every coffee NFT drop
generating royalties from sales for the treasury:
| Community | Status |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------- |
| 🐧 Pudgy Penguins | ✅ This prop — pilot |
| 🦍 Bored Ape Yacht Club | 🔜 Next — Made by Apes |
| 👾 Doodles | 🔜 Inkubator pathway identified |
| 🌸 Azuki | 🔜 Community council approach |
| 😸 Cool Cats | 🔜 Pipeline |
| 🐦 Moonbirds | 🔜 Pipeline |
Each new community edition follows the same structure:
OverpassIP licensing, 3 NFT holders paid a fixed fee,
three unique label designs, production, and global
distribution. Royalties from each line flow back to the
Nouns treasury — building a compounding, multi-community
coffee revenue stream, one collab at a time.
**The Pudgy pilot is the proof of concept for all of them.**
---
**Nouns.coffee — Web3 Coffee Hub**
Home for all collabs (Pudgy, Apes, Doodles, Azuki + more).
Each drop gets a clean page: story, licensed NFT art, Thai origin, crypto payments, global shipping.
Nouns ⌐◨-◨ anchors every drop — building a permanent, community-owned coffee network.

*Pilot:* fulfilled via Coffee Culture. *Next:* dedicated storefront & infra via follow-on prop.
---
## Why This Collab, Why Now
Prop 325 showed the DAO is open to Nouns x Pudgy creative
collaborations. The Pengu Coffee line showed the market
exists for Web3-branded Thai drip coffee. Coffee Culture
already has the Pudgy licensing relationship through
OverpassIP. All three ingredients exist. This prop combines them.
At $8,350 the downside is negligible. The upside is:
- Three unique co-branded labels extending Prop 325's legacy
- 3,000 cups of Nouns coffee across four global channels
- 1,200 individual bags at IRL events where Nouns shows up
- Direct treasury revenue from DYLI and TikTok Shop
- Royalties flowing back to the treasury from Pudgy's shop
- The proven playbook for every NFT collab that follows
**The sequence:**
1. ✅ This prop — license, design, produce, distribute, report
2. 🔜 Follow-on prop — dedicated machine, FDA registration,
nouns.coffee 20,000 cups, full infra

---⌐◨-◨-x-🐧---nouns-coffee-—-a-pilot-collab-with-pudgy-penguinsI pulled up the summary higher as requested and clarified that most of the info is up top. I also clarified that the majority of this proposal is community distribution, not commercial production.
⌐◨-◨-x-🐧---nouns-coffee-—-a-pilot-collab-with-pudgy-penguins@0x7f64...d6d2
Fair pushback, let me clarify what this budget actually does.
The majority of this proposal is community distribution, not commercial production:
~250 boxes go to KOL seeding and Nouns holder claims — pure giveaway, UGC, and proliferation
~1,200 individual bags go to IRL events (Devcon, NFT NYC, ETH Denver, NounsCon)
Only 300 boxes are allocated to sales channels — split between dyli.io (web3 platform to redeem physical products) and TikTok Shop TH as a test.
Whatever revenue those 300 boxes generate will flow directly back to the treasury. While the amount will likely be modest, this pilot will give us precise visibility into the real costs and margins involved. This is a hybrid approach: mostly community proliferation, with a small commercial test to evaluate viability.
The real upside is that if this pilot proves successful, we can scale the operation significantly. One of the goals would be to secure a Pudgy shop listing. Pudgy merchandise already does ~$50K in daily sales. A listing there would place Nouns x Pudgy coffee in front of a relevant audience. Additionally, developing nouns.coffee—where all the collabs with other NFT communities could live—would constantly generate royalties that flow back to the treasury and subsidize coffee for future activations. As suggested by a Nouner on the previous candidate proposal, we could structure a 10% royalty on net sales, split as:
5% cash to the Nouns treasury
5% in product as drip bags for IRL event activations
At any meaningful fraction of Pudgy’s volume, that royalty split becomes a self-funding revenue stream for both the treasury and IRL coffee swag at events — without the DAO needing to fund production again.
Regarding Pudgy co-sponsoring — unfortunately, that’s not possible. Pudgy doesn’t operate as a DAO and has no grant program. Their collaboration model is licensing through OverpassIP, for which we’ve already been approved. That’s exactly what the $450 in the budget covers.
>
>
> + Ask is modest.
>
> - Every single of the "Communities" (sans Cool Cats maybe) still has 5x-20x more operational funds than Nouns atm. Given the bigger Pudgy reach that you point out and their memecoin sitting at half a billion in marketcap, they are a much better steward to give a grant on this vs Nouns. Unless this is already subsidized by pudgies.
>
> Please consider asking Pudgies to co-sponsor this effort.
> Overall Nouns shouldn't be funding production of goods only to make royalties in return. Thats not how IRL financing would work.
>
>
> Feedback overall
> - Please pull the budgeting summary up top.
> - Please define exact % royalty you are suggesting if Nouns cover part of the production cost.

---
## What This Prop Does
### The Product

---
## Production & Distribution Plan
**Total production: 3,000 drip bags = 3,000 cups of coffee**
| Allocation | Quantity | Format | Revenue to Treasury |
| -------------------- | --------------------------------- | -------------- | ------------------------- |
| KOL seeding | \~100 boxes | Boxed (3 bags) | No — brand & UGC |
| Nouns holder claims | \~150 boxes | Boxed (3 bags) | No — shipping only |
| DYLI listing | \~175 boxes | Boxed (3 bags) | ✅ Yes — all net proceeds |
| TikTok Shop Thailand | \~175 boxes | Boxed (3 bags) | ✅ Yes — all net proceeds |
| IRL events | \~1,200 bags | Individual | No — direct proliferation |
| Contingency / buffer | \~50 boxes | Boxed (3 bags) | — |
| Total | 600 boxes + 1,200 individual bags | | 3,000 bags |

---
**The Ask — Itemised Budget**
$8,350 USD (wholesale cost)
| Line Item | Detail | Amount |
| ----------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | ------ |
| Drip bag production | 3,000 bags at $0.89/bag | $2,670 |
| Overpass IP licensing | 3 Pudgy NFT holders × $120 each | $360 |
| Label design & printing plate | 3× Pudgy wearing ⌐◨-◨ artwork + plates | $1,200 |
| Boxes & branded packaging | 600 co-branded Nouns × Pudgy boxes + QR inserts | $700 |
| KOL outreach & shipping | Licensing delta + coordination + shipping | $1,980 |
| DYLI logistics & fulfilment | Packaging, shipping, handling | $700 |
| TikTok creator incentives | Samples + creator programme | $290 |
| Documentation & 90-day report | Photography, UGC tracking, posts | $500 |
| Contingency | Customs, handling, unexpected costs | $450 |
| Total | | $8,350 |
All bags priced at wholesale — no margin built in. Holders
pay their own shipping directly. All net proceeds from DYLI
and TikTok Shop sent directly to the Nouns treasury, with
full transparency published in the 90-day report.
---
## Why This Collab, Why Now
Prop 325 showed the DAO is open to Nouns x Pudgy creative
collaborations.

Hey @coolbeans1r.eth, really appreciate the feedback and the breakdown.
You're right that the DAO has no lien on the hardware under the current structure. Totally get that. So here's a different approach that works as a pilot before we ask for the bigger commitment.
On the royalty model and cash return:
A 5% cash / 5% product split is a reasonable suggestion — can absolutely work with that. At current hand-production volumes and without FDA registration yet, cash royalties would be negligible, which is exactly why the machine matters.
But since we're already operating, we want to demonstrate real value before asking for that bigger
commitment.
Here's what we will be proposing instead:
Rather than pushing for $73K on faith, we pull the
infras prop and replace it with a much smaller
pilot.
We already have Pudgy licensing access through
OverpassIP — the same channel we used for Pengu Coffee — so a *Nouns x Pudgy Penguins co-branded drip coffee bag is the next move will maximise distribution across both communities from day one.
2,000–3,000 co-branded bags produced and distributed
across three channels:
- *KOL seeding — coffee boxes sent to creators and
builders across both the Nouns and Pudgy communities, same playbook we already ran with Pengu Coffee
- *Nouns holder claims + IRL event allocation** —
available to claim, shipping only, with a portion
reserved for an upcoming conference or activation
- *DYLI listing— remaining boxes listed for sale
on DYLI, price TBC, with earnings potentially flowing
back to the treasury after testing the channel
Just product and a distribution plan — no equipment, no ownership questions, no lien needed.
If the pilot works, the infra prop would make sense after:
- Real DYLI sales data
- Documented global reach across 20+ countries
- A shot at listing Nouns x Pengu Drip Coffee on Pudgy's official shop — they already sell the Nouns x Pudgy toy from Prop 325, so the relationship exists. We don't have that direct connection yet, but this pilot could be the right way to earn it
- A revised royalty structure with a 5% cash component built in
- A clear recoupment timeline the DAO can hold us to
Prove it small, scale it with evidence. If the pilot
works and Pudgy's shop becomes a realistic next step — that's when the machine becomes the obvious ask.
Does this direction make sense?
>
>
> The DAO is being asked to fund the full purchase and installation of the equipment, yet the applicant retains full ownership of these assets. If the business underperforms or the project scope shifts, the DAO has no claim to the hardware. In any industrial or commercial partnership, funding equipment installation requires either a lien on the asset, an equity stake, or a clearly defined path to recoupment if the service ceases.
>
> The "royalty" model is currently set to 10% in product. This limits the DAO’s ROI to an expense saving measure (getting coffee for events) rather than a financial return. While the proliferation aspect is valuable, it is difficult to quantify or justify as the sole return for a $73k investment. I believe the DAO should be looking for a cash back component to ensure the treasury sees a tangible financial return on its capital.
>
> Shift the royalty structure to include a cash back percentage. A 5% cash / 5% product split would ensure the DAO participates in the commercial success of the project.
>
> What recourse does the DAO have if the project fails to deliver on its production commitments?
>
> I support the goal of scaling Nounish coffee, but the current financials prioritize the applicant's business growth over the DAO's treasury sustainability. I would like to see these terms renegotiated to better align with the DAO’s interests before moving forward.

There is no prior Nouns-branded line — this is a new
collaboration, which is exactly why we're here seeking the community's support to launch it properly.
What we do bring is proven white-label production capability. We are currently fulfilling a 5,000 bag white-label run for a web2 client by hand — which proves demand and fulfilment ability, but also highlights exactly why the machine matters.
Without it, we can't credibly approach Web3 brands or KOLs with a scalable offer.
The machine is what unlocks that entire vertical. Nouns would be the first Web3 brand on a production line purpose-built for this space — with 10% of net royalties from all Web3-branded drip bag sales flowing back to the community, plus back-label visibility across every KOL collaboration we produce.
This is an invitation for Nouns to be the founding brand of a Web3 coffee model that doesn't yet exist.
>
>
> Do you have experience selling these coffees under the nouns brand?
> - How much coffee produced?
> - How much coffee sold?
> - How much revenue for Nouns?
>
> If so, where is that data highlighted in this prop?
>
brewing-proliferation,-one☕at-a-time-⌐◨-◨@0x749B...54Ce
Great question. We explored renting, but it’s not a viable option in Thailand for this type of industrial packaging equipment — rental markets for food-grade drip bag machines simply don’t exist here the way they do in the US or EU.
Ownership is the only path to reliable, consistent production at the volume and quality this proposal requires. And it’s worth noting that this machine doesn’t just serve this proposal. It becomes the engine behind every future Nouns-branded drip bag run, KOL collaboration, and web3 drop.
The royalties we’ve structured flow directly back to Nouns, giving the community a self-funding mechanism to keep producing and giving away branded coffee at conferences, events, and community activations. That’s proliferation in a cup. Every bag is a touchpoint, every event is a new audience.
>
>
> It looks like the majority of the prop ask: $43,810 is towards the purchase of a machine. How would the costs change if this machine was `rented` / `accessed` instead of purchased?
>

# Brewing Proliferation, One☕at a Time ⌐◨-◨

## TLDR
Premium Thai coffee. The iconic ⌐◨-◨ on the label. In the hands
of Web3 builders, NFT holders, and normies alike —
**20,000 cups over four years**, everywhere Nouns shows up.
Coffee Culture Asia requests **$73,310 USD** — pre-purchasing
four years of dedicated drip bag production capacity in Thailand,
purpose-built to create permanent Nouns and Web3 coffee lines
that proliferate the ⌐◨-◨ globally.
The commitment: **20,000 cups of premium Thai coffee** flowing
through the Nouns community over four years — **5,000 drip bags
per year**, guaranteed. Nouns DAO receives **10% royalties from
net Web3 coffee sales**, converted entirely into product to keep
the proliferation flywheel spinning. Nouns also gets back-label
presence across our Web2 retail coffee bags & the **"Curated By"** lines — coffee reaching
normie audiences who've never heard of a DAO, one bag at a time.
Great coffee. Real proliferation. Everywhere Nouns shows up —
constantly and consistently.
**Nouns holders can claim drip bags from the Year 1 allocation
from day one — shipping only. Start proliferating immediately.** ⌐◨-◨
---
## What Is a Coffee Drip Bag?

A drip bag is the simplest, most portable way to brew a genuine
cup of freshly ground coffee — no machine, no equipment, no mess.
Each bag contains a precisely measured dose of freshly roasted,
freshly ground coffee sealed in a food-safe filter pouch. To brew:
tear it open, hook it over any cup, pour hot water slowly over the
grounds — in minutes you have a full, rich, café-quality coffee.
One of the most accessible, giftable, and **brandable** premium
coffee formats in the world. Each bag is a small canvas — easy
to customise for any occasion, collab, or drop. A NounsCon
exclusive. A limited Halloween edition. A co-branded drop.
A Devcon side-event giveaway. The format flexes with the moment,
and the ⌐◨-◨ travels with it.
## One bag. One cup. Anywhere in the world.
The same format that launched [Emma Chamberlain's coffee line](https://www.instagram.com/reels/DMGCBD4xR7r/) into a global brand.

Every bag is a branded moment that travels from a farm in northern
Thailand to a conference hall, a builder's desk, a coffee rave,
or a delegate's hotel room. Unlike merchandise, it gets consumed,
experienced, and remembered.
The machine nitrogen-flushes every bag before sealing, giving
each Nouns drip bag a **shelf life of 12–18 months** — production
planned well ahead of events, inventory pre-positioned globally,
zero pressure to rush. Quality preserved from roast to cup,
wherever in the world that cup is brewed.
---
## Standing on the Shoulders of Prop 84

In May 2022, the Nouns DAO passed **Proposal 84 — Nouns Coffee**,
funding the first ever Nounish consumable brand. The vision was
right: coffee is universal, daily, and emotionally resonant. Put
Nouns on it and you put Nouns in people's hands, their kitchens,
their conference breaks, their morning routines. The DAO believed
in it. The community voted yes.
What Prop 84 lacked was a production partner already rooted in the
artisan coffee world — with direct farm relationships,
hospitality-grade quality standards, and the manufacturing
infrastructure to make it permanent and globally shippable at
scale. The proposal was built around sourcing a white-label
roaster. The machine, the farm relationships, the FDA registration
— none of that existed.
**Coffee Culture Asia is what Prop 84 was looking for.**
This proposal picks up where Prop 84 left off and finally gives
Nouns Coffee the farmer-backed, production-owned, globally
shippable foundation it was always meant to have.
---
## The Infrastructure Previous Nouns Coffee Props Were Missing
Several Nouns proposals have explored coffee as a vehicle for
proliferation and IRL community building — and the community has
responded warmly every time. The concept is validated. What
previous proposals lacked was the supply chain to deliver on it:
a machine, a production partner, and a globally shippable product
to put in people's hands.
**That is exactly what this proposal builds.**
Coffee Culture's machine is the production capacity that makes
every future Nouns coffee activation — pop-ups, stunts, side
events, conference drops — possible anywhere in the world, without
the DAO needing to pre-purchase capacity again. Any Noun approved
IRL event can request Nouns-branded drip bags from our standing
quarterly supply. The infrastructure exists once. It serves the
entire community indefinitely.

## Who We Are
**Coffee Culture Asia** ([coffeeculture.asia](https://coffeeculture.asia))
is a premium Thai coffee brand founded in 2020 during the pandemic
by Susan and Daniel, based in Thailand. Over five years we have
been perfecting our sourcing, building DTC sales channels, and
laying the infrastructure to scale. We are not asking the DAO to
validate an idea. The idea is already working — it just needs the
machine to grow.
Our coffee speaks for itself: **[131 Google reviews with a 4.9
rating](https://www.google.com/search?q=coffee+culture+Thailand)** — proof that the product is already loved by real customers around
the world. This is not an experiment. The coffee is exceptional.
The machine is what unlocks scale.
Susan — Thai and Finnish, born and raised in Thailand with deep
roots in the country's artisan coffee farming community that only
deepened during the pandemic — is the creative soul of the brand,
leading product, sourcing, and operations. Daniel handles business
development, strategy, web3, and international partnerships.
Together they previously co-founded and scaled a leading marketing
agency in the South of Thailand, serving luxury hospitality brands
across Southeast Asia.
We source **directly from small-scale Thai farmers and independent
roasters** in Thailand's northern highlands — Doi Chang, Chiang
Rai, and Chiang Mai — paying farm-gate premiums and building
multi-season relationships with the growers behind every bag.
Our B2B clients include **Amanpuri, Ritz-Carlton Bangkok,
TikTok Thailand, among others** — and we serve thousands of DTC customers
across Thailand, Qatar, the UK, Australia, the US, Switzerland,
Singapore, and beyond.
Daniel submitted **[Nouns DAO Proposal 705](https://nouns.wtf/vote/705)** for elephant rescue work in Thailand
— three rescues completed, all featured on **[The Dodo](https://youtu.be/LG7OGAAhYCw?si=Abpu0EkudrMM2C9K)**, the world's largest animal brand, garnering millions of views. It's a separate initiative, mentioned only because it speaks to
character: when Daniel and Susan commit to something, it gets done.
**On the capex question:** The DAO is not funding equipment — it
is pre-purchasing four years of production capacity. The machine
stays with Coffee Culture. We own it, operate it, and bear all
ongoing costs. If Coffee Culture underperforms, Nouns still has
permanent branding on every bag shipped globally. This is not a
bet on a business plan — it's a lease on a production line,
paid in coffee.
Critically, **we are directly incentivised to grow this vertical.**
Every new NFT community edition we onboard — every new Curated By
KOL partner we bring in — expands the royalty pool that funds more
Nouns coffee at more events, while simultaneously placing the
⌐◨-◨ in front of Web2 audiences who have never encountered Nouns
before. Our commercial success and Nouns proliferation are not
just aligned — they are the same goal.

## Proof of Concept — It Already Works
| | |
| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| | |
[Unboxing Video](https://x.com/i/status/2036027676948128213) by @Drewfromweb3 "Thank you to
@UnchainedDaniel for the package, incredible taste and awesome packaging and IP use" [X Post](https://x.com/Drewfromweb3/status/2036030300048994483?s=20)
This is not a speculative model. **Coffee Culture already licensed Pudgy NFTs
for the production of the Pengu Coffee** — a live Pudgy
Penguins-branded Thai drip coffee line, produced in partnership
with the Web3 community, Abstract Ellies around [MintMeACoffee.com](https://mintmeacoffee.com/pengu),
distributed globally. The product exists. The demand is real.
But scale has been structurally blocked from two constraints.
**Constraint 1 — FDA registration.** Without it, shipping
significant quantities to a US warehouse for regional fulfilment
isn't possible — meaning every order ships direct from Thailand at
10–14 days per package at an average cost of $74+ USD per box.
Customs holds bulk shipments without FDA clearance, making it
impossible to pre-position inventory close to customers.
**Constraint 2 — Manual production and no nitrogen flush.**
Currently all drip bags are packed by hand with no nitrogen
sealing — giving the product a shelf life of only 3 months. This
makes pre-positioning inventory globally impossible, forces
rush production for every event, and limits the volume and
consistency we can deliver at scale.
This proposal solves both constraints directly. **FDA registration**
unlocks regional 3PL fulfilment in the US and EU, cutting delivery
from 10–14 days to **2–5 days** at a fraction of the current
per-unit cost. **The machine** replaces manual packing with
nitrogen-flushed automated production, extending shelf life from
3 months to **12–18 months** and enabling the global pre-positioning
model the Nouns lines require. That is when the model scales.
Yet even under those constraints, demand is real: across two
Pudgy Penguins licensing rounds on **[OverpassIP](https://www.overpassip.com/deal/68)**,
Coffee Culture received a combined **2,394 asset submissions** from
NFT holders wanting their assets on physical coffee bags. Holders
want their IP on real-world products — and Coffee Culture is the
production partner that makes it happen, across NFT collections. **Nouns is next.**
### Already in the Field — Devcon Bangkok 2024
This isn't the first time a Nounsish coffee has shown up at a Web3
event. In November 2024, Daniel personally distributed Coffee
Culture drip bags at Devcon and multiple side events in Bangkok —
putting Thai coffee directly into the hands of the Web3 community,
one cup at a time. That small activation was made possible with support
from **[GroundsDAO](https://grounds.wtf/grounds/dao/proposals/5)** and **[BaseDAO](https://nouns.build/dao/base/0x10a5676EC8aE3D6b1F36a6F1A1526136BA7938BF/vote/29)**, two community DAOs who co-funded
production of the drip bags. The response was immediate and warm —
here's what that looked like on the ground:

This is the playbook. Nouns pre-purchases the production capacity.
Coffee Culture produces and ships. The community brews, shares,
and proliferates. It already works — now it scales.

## What Nouns Gets
### 4 Branded, Co-Branded & Supported Coffee Lines

**Line 1 — The Nouns Drip Line**
Premium Thai coffee drip bags under the Nouns brand — different
roast profiles and origins, starting with single-estate Thai
Arabicas. The Noggles ⌐◨-◨ lead every label, with future drops,
collabs, and limited activations each getting their own custom
design — keeping the line fresh and collectible over time.
Sold globally via the dedicated Web3 coffee storefront.
Active indefinitely.
Every bag ships with a **branded card and QR code linking to
nouns.wtf** — turning every cup brewed anywhere in the world into
a Nouns discovery moment.
---

**Line 2 — NFT Community Editions**
Co-branded drip bags pairing Nouns with major NFT communities —
beginning with the proven Pudgy Penguins model and expanding to
**Bored Ape Yacht Club, Doodles, Azuki, Moonbirds, Cool Cats**,
and beyond. Nouns branding featured prominently alongside each
partner brand on every bag. Each new community edition is a new
Nouns proliferation touchpoint at zero additional cost to the DAO.
Active indefinitely.
Demand from NFT holders to see their assets on real-world products
is already validated — across two licensing rounds, Coffee Culture
received a combined **2,500+ asset submissions, on Pudgy's, Fugz & Bummes**. The pipeline is
real.
Every bag ships with a **branded card and QR code linking to
nouns.wtf**. Every DTC order ships in a **Nouns-branded box** —
the unboxing experience is nounish from the moment it arrives,
regardless of which NFT community edition is inside.
---
**Line 3 — The "Curated By" Partner Program (Web2 Exposure)**
Top-tier KOLs and influencers launch their own named coffee —
*"Coffee Curated by [Name], Produced by Coffee Culture."* We are
already working with a major Thai KOLs on her own label — [see the collaboration in progress](https://www.instagram.com/p/DWU3eNNACPZ/)
and [her latest update](https://www.instagram.com/p/DVXo9E8AKss/) — with several more partners lined up.
Every Curated By bag carries the Nouns ⌐◨-◨ on the back label —
placing the brand in front of large mainstream audiences with every sale.
No royalty applies to this line given the shared revenue arrangement with KOL partners,
but the back-label presence is permanent and grows with every new
partner added.
---
**Line 4 — "Supported by Nouns" Retail Bags (Web2 Presence)**
When Nouns backs Coffee Culture, that backing shows up on every
bag we ship and every page visitors land on. The Nouns ⌐◨-◨
logo and **"Supported by Nouns"** will be featured on the back
of our new retail coffee bags — 250g, 500g, and 1kg —
across a commitment of **10,000 bags**, in the same spirit as
the Curated By back-label placement.
The Nouns ⌐◨-◨ will also be featured prominently on [coffeeculture.asia](https://coffeeculture.asia) — our website
which receives 3**,700 organic visitors per month** — placing
the brand in front of a warm, coffee-interested audience that
is actively shopping, not just scrolling.
These are the bags sold through our existing DTC channels, B2B
hospitality clients, and international wholesale partners — hotels,
home brewers, office kitchens — audiences who have never interacted with a DAO and
may never hear of the DAO but will hold a bag that carries the
Nouns name. Permanent, organic, real-world presence, embedded
into every unit that leaves our facility. At no additional cost
to the DAO.
---
## The Royalty Structure
Royalties are calculated on **net sales** (gross revenue minus
returns, discounts, and applicable taxes) and apply to Lines 1
and 2 only. Lines 3 and 4 deliver brand reach through back-label
and website placement under separate arrangements.
| Line | Royalty to Nouns | Format | Return |
| ------------------------------------ | ------------------------------ | --------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| Line 1 — Nouns Drip | 10% of net sales | Drip bags $2.00–$2.50 / bag | Converted to product |
| Line 2 — NFT Community Editions | 10% of net sales | Drip bags $2.00–$2.50 / bag | Converted to product |
| Line 3 — Curated By (Web2) | Back-label presence only | Drip bags $2.00–$2.50 / bag | Brand exposure |
| Line 4 — Supported by Nouns (Retail) | Back-label + website placement | 250g / 500g / 1kg bags | Brand exposure — 10,000 bags + 9,700 monthly web visitors |
**Duration: 4 years** from each line's launch date. After that,
Nouns branding remains on all lines in perpetuity at no further
obligation.
---
## The Royalty Loop — 20,000 Cups Over 4 Years, Committed
Rather than cash, **100% of royalties convert into product** —
premium Thai drip bags, nitrogen-flushed for a **12–18 month shelf
life**, shipped to wherever Nouns shows up.
| Year | Bags | Cups | Delivery |
| ------ | ------ | ----------- | ------------------------------- |
| Year 1 | 5,000 | 5,000 cups | Events globally + holder claims |
| Year 2 | 5,000 | 5,000 cups | 1,250 bags / quarter |
| Year 3 | 5,000 | 5,000 cups | 1,250 bags / quarter |
| Year 4 | 5,000 | 5,000 cups | 1,250 bags / quarter |
| Total | 20,000 | 20,000 cups | |
Year 1's effective cost to the DAO: \~**$3.67 per cup** including
all infrastructure. By Year 2, royalties self-fund the supply
entirely. Previous Nouns IRL events have delivered coffee at \~$83
per guest in total event costs. This pre-purchased capacity model
delivers cups at a fraction of that — at global scale, with no
overheads.
The extended **12–18 month shelf life** thanks to nitrogen flushing
means production can be batched efficiently, inventory
pre-positioned at regional fulfilment hubs months in advance, and
event supply planned on a reliable annual calendar — no rush
orders, no waste.
Year 1's 5,000 bags are made available to the Nouns community for
immediate proliferation. **Any Nouns holder can claim** three **sets of
drip bags — shipping fees not included and charged separately based
on destination and package weight — on a first-come, first-served
basis.** All sending and logistics are coordinated directly with
Coffee Culture, which already handles fulfilment for 2,000+ clients
across Thailand and globally. The more holders who claim and share,
the wider the ⌐◨-◨ travels. There is no cap on holder
participation — proliferation is the point.
For events, conferences, pop-ups, and community activations beyond
the Year 1 allocation — Coffee Culture is your coffee dealer ⌐◨-◨.
Any Nouner or event organiser can request a top-up batch with **6 weeks notice**,
priced at **30% below retail**. The machine runs. The bags flow.
There is no hard ceiling on how much Nouns coffee we can put into the world.
### Shipping Policy
All shipping fees — are the responsibility
of the receiving party and are not covered by Coffee Culture.
Costs are determined on a case-by-case basis depending on
destination and package weight, and are coordinated directly
with Coffee Culture at the time of each request. Coffee Culture is not
responsible for any import duties, customs fees, or taxes
incurred at the destination country — these remain the
responsibility of the receiving party.
**Alignment calls:** Every 4–6 months — and no less than once
per year every January — both parties sync on the event calendar,
upcoming activations, and shipment schedule to ensure supply
is where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.
---
## 4-Year Royalty Projections
At $2.00–$2.50 per bag and 10% of net sales, every 10,000 bags
sold generates $2,000–$2,500 in coffee value returned to Nouns.
Growth assumption: **45% year-on-year** on Lines 1 and 2,
consistent with Coffee Culture's own organic growth history.
Line 3 generates additional Nouns back-label impressions across
the Web2 creator network — compounding mainstream exposure that
costs the DAO nothing and isn't captured in these numbers.
### Conservative Scenario (Base: $60K Year 1 — Lines 1 & 2)
| Year | Sales | Royalty Value | Cups / Year |
| ------ | -------- | ----------------- | ------------- |
| Year 1 | $60,000 | $6,000 | \~1,500 |
| Year 2 | $87,000 | $8,700 | \~2,175 |
| Year 3 | $126,150 | $12,615 | \~3,154 |
| Year 4 | $182,918 | $18,292 | \~4,573 |
| Total | $456,068 | $45,607 in coffee | \~11,400 cups |
### Optimistic Scenario (Base: $100K Year 1)
| Year | Sales | Royalty Value | Cups / Year |
| ------ | -------- | ----------------- | ------------- |
| Year 1 | $100,000 | $10,000 | \~2,500 |
| Year 2 | $145,000 | $14,500 | \~3,625 |
| Year 3 | $210,250 | $21,025 | \~5,256 |
| Year 4 | $304,863 | $30,486 | \~7,622 |
| Total | $760,113 | $76,011 in coffee | \~19,000 cups |
The 20,000-cup commitment is the **floor**, not a projection.
Royalty performance adds cups on top.
---
## The Web3 Coffee Storefront

A dedicated Web3-native storefront — the permanent home of Nouns
coffee and every community edition that follows. As new NFT
drops launch — Lil Nouns, Bored Ape Yacht Club, Doodles, Azuki,
Moonbirds, Cool Cats, and beyond — each gets its own page under
the same roof. One destination. Every Web3 coffee drop.
The Nouns ⌐◨-◨ anchors the entire network — visible on every
drop, every page, every shipment that goes out the door.
Fulfilment is handled end-to-end by Coffee Culture, which already
manages logistics for thousands of clients across Thailand and
globally. Crypto payments accepted as standard.
The storefront domain will be confirmed in coordination with
the DAO after the prop is approved.
---
## Impact on Thai Farmers and Roasters
Every Nouns bag is sourced **directly from small-scale Thai farmers
and independent roasters** in Thailand's northern highlands.
Farm-gate premiums, multi-season relationships, and a direct route
to global distribution that would otherwise be entirely inaccessible
to smallholder farmers. [Our Origin Story](https://thethaiger.com/news/national/finding-the-best-roasted-coffee-in-thailand-with-coffee-culture)
When Nouns pre-purchases this production capacity, it funds a
supply chain that supports Thai farming families, sustains
independent roasters, and delivers authentic Thai coffee to cups
around the world — under the Nouns name.
---

Yes, that can be done!
Having Nouns as business partners would be amazing!
I’ll adjust the proposal to position it as an investment from the DAO rather than a grant. In addition to the tipping platform and its revenue-sharing model, we will also sell physical coffee through an e-commerce shop, leveraging my Thailand-based coffee company, CoffeeCulture.Asia.
For the physical coffee sales under MintMeACoffee, we’ve already secured a licensing deal with Pudgy Penguins, where Pudgy holders receive 5% royalties from coffee sales. We’re focusing on coffee drip bags, which are ideal for branding and distributing as swag at conferences. The plan is to create similar "online coffee shops" for other Web3 brands—Pudgy Penguins, Nouns, Apes, etc. In this case, Nouns could also be partners in the entire project, with physical coffee sales offering better margins than virtual coffee sales in the short term.
I’m aiming to raise funds for the entire project, so this could be structured as a seed investment, not just for the tipping platform.
Would this be a better approach?
Would that be a better approach?

>
> If this project is going to generate revenue and your requesting almost $40k from Nouns, then why wouldn't Nouns also receive a part of the revenue? We need to expand beyond Nouns just paying for things for visibility and focus on revenue generation

816 projects participated in Base Batches, and 77 were selected, including us, for the IncuBase program that ended yesterday. Last week focused on fundraising, with most projects pitching to VCs, including Coinbase Ventures. Our project isn’t VC-investable due to its addressable market—VCs seek billion-dollar opportunities, and we’re not on that category. My VC mentor suggested pursuing grants for further development, but I believe it's not just the money what is needed but money + community, and with the reputation of Nouns supporting our project we can elevate to the next level.

# Mint Me A Coffee — Base Batches Winner Project
# TL;DR
**Mint Me A Coffee (MMAC)** is a winner of the **Base Batches Buildathon #001 – Vibe Code Track – APAC**, and we are requesting **15 ETH** to develop both a **miniapp and webapp** that enable Web2 creators to monetize their platforms using Web3 infrastructure. MMAC is a crypto-native alternative to platforms like **Buy Me a Coffee** or **Patreon**—but without the friction of PayPal, Stripe, or even bank accounts, which are often inaccessible in certain countries or for underage creators. It’s a **tipping and monetization tool** with **gamified mechanics and collectible NFTs**, designed for creators who can’t (or choose not to) rely on Web2 financial systems—while also helping proliferate the **Nouns spirit** and onboard new audiences.

](https://devfolio.co/projects/mint-me-a-coffee-460d)MVP Mini-app: [https://farcaster.xyz/miniapps/zQT_2ungf7-o/mint-me-a-coffee](https://farcaster.xyz/miniapps/zQT_2ungf7-o/mint-me-a-coffee)
---
## Problem
A significant portion of today’s digital creators—especially **Gen Z**—face challenges in monetizing their content. Over **30% of creators in this age group lack access to bank accounts** or are blocked by age restrictions on platforms like **Stripe** and **PayPal**, making it nearly impossible for them to get paid or monetize their work. This issue is even more prevalent in **emerging markets**, where young creators dominate platforms like **TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube**.
Even for those who can accept payments, Web2 platforms often:
- Take **high fees** (up to 20%)
- Impose **long payout delays** (30+ days)
- Offer **zero or no meaningful rewards** to fans
As a result, creators lose out on income and fans have little incentive to tip or support them.
---
## Solution
**Mint Me A Coffee** solves this by allowing fans to support creators with small crypto payments in **USDC** or **via credit cards (eventually)**—making it easy and appealing for Web2 creators to begin their transition to Web3.
### Key Features
- Fans receive unique, **coffee-themed NFT collectibles** when they tip, gamifying the experience and unlocking potential perks.
- Creators get a **custom URL** (e.g., \`mintmeacoffee.com/CREATORSNAME\`) that can be used across platforms like **YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, and TikTok**, converting followers into onchain supporters.
- Revenue in **stablecoins** ensures predictability and ease of use.
---
## Proposal Details for Nouns DAO
This platform has strong **Nounish alignment** by growing Web3 adoption, onboarding new creators, and expanding DAO visibility:
- **Branded NFTs**: The **first 50 NFT cups** for every creator will feature **Nouns-style mug with Noggles** for clear brand recognition. After that, creators can choose from additional NFT art styles to reward their fans.
- Expands Nouns Visibility: Every creator page will display “Sponsored by Nouns DAO” with the Nouns logo and link.

---
## Funding Breakdown (15 ETH)
| Use Case | Budget (ETH) |
| -------------------- | ------------ |
| Improve MVP MiniApp | 1 |
| Web App Development | 6 |
| Creator Onboarding | 1 |
| Marketing & Outreach | 4 |
| Operation | 3 |
| Total | 15 |
---
## Revenue Model
- Creators keep **95%** of every NFT "coffee" minted.
- The remaining **5%** goes to **Mint Me A Coffee** for platform upkeep and growth.
This model ensures **long-term sustainability** while maximizing revenue for creators and offer incentives for tippers.
---
## Nouns DAO Deliverables
- **Visibility**: Nouns logo and sponsorship link on every creator profile via the webapp.
- **Branded NFTs**: The first 50 NFTs for each creator will be **Nouns-themed coffee mugs**.
- **Holder Rewards**: NFT holders will receive **discounts on our Coffee Drip Bags** online shop.
---
## Why Now?
Being selected by **Base Batches** validated both the concept and the need. While this may not be a billion-dollar VC startup, it solves a real problem and can grow sustainably with the right community behind it.
The **creator economy** is rapidly expanding, but **traditional finance excludes millions** of global, young, and underserved voices. **Nouns DAO** is uniquely positioned to champion **permissionless creativity** and support the next generation of builders and artists.
### By funding Mint Me A Coffee, Nouns DAO will:
- ✅ Remove banking barriers for creators
- ✅ Onboard Gen Z talent to Web3
- ✅ Build long-lasting brand visibility through real, daily use
Let’s give creators the tools to **earn, connect, and thrive**—in **Nounish spirit**.
---
## About the Proposer
My name is **Daniel Villota**, founder of **Mint Me A Coffee**. You might also remember me from **Unchained Elephants** (the proposal was defeated #720, and unfortunatly the project overall didn’t gain traction in web3). With over a decade of experience building businesses in the Web2 space—including **CoffeeCulture.Asia**—I’ve dedicated the past few years to exploring Web3 to raise funds for different causes, especially projects with impact.
Through this proposal, I would be stoked to collaborate with **Nouns DAO** to bring a **Nounish-aligned platform** to life—one that helps onboard new creators, amplifies the Nouns mission, and expands the impact of permissionless creativity.
