# Nouns Team Korea - Pro Sailing Team

## TL;DR
In the beginning, Nouns community used to dream about competing with Red Bull, Nike, going viral globally, and collaborating with stars like Mr. Beast. Here, we propose an ambitious plan that includes establishing a professional sports team, collaborating with reputable eyewear brand, a football star, and volunteer. We propose to establish a professional sailing team and dispatch 13 sailors-ambassadors to the prestigious Rolex TP52 Super Series Regattas. Beyond the competitive aspect of sailing, we are going to connect and volunteer for environmental organizations in the Mediterranean Sea.
- The team will be featured on Rolex social channels alongside videos covering major events in tennis, motorsport, equestrianism, and many others.
- We will collaborate with Gentle Monster to manufacture Noggles that will be distributed through their global network.
- We will exchange t-shirts with Tottenham Hotspur F.C. forward Son Heung-min.
## Rolex TP52 Super Series
The Rolex TP52 Super Series is one of the major sailing events that attracts professional athletes, Olympic sailors, and big brands. Rolex regularly posts videos about professional sporting events, including the TP52 series. Sailing has a rich history, an international community, a conscious commitment to the public good, and caring for the younger generation. The sailing community is diverse and filled with builders, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, environmental activists, adventurers, and responsible individuals.

NounsDAO sets itself apart from other NFT projects and blockchain companies through its core values, commitments and lively characters. As a Nounish Sports team, we aim to use our presence in the international competitions to connect with diverse community, national teams, sport clubs, local governments, international organizations, prestigious brands, and influential celebrities. We believe that there are enough discerning celebrities, organizations, and brands that would recognize the work championed by Nouns.
## Our Purpose: Volunteer for Non-profits, Environment Protection Organizations
Nouns are positioned as a promising contender to become the most interesting "network state." Prof. Balaji and Vitalik emphasize the significance of uniting startup communities under a common cohesive vision and establishing global credibility. Among the examples they mention are:
1) A zone for medical innovation
2) A zone where it's acceptable to walk around naked
3) A zone for cryptocurrency
4) A zone requiring an NFT for entry
5) A zone that legalizes more psychoactive substances
What personally speaks to us as sailors is a zone where people prioritize environmental stewardship, community, and the well-being. In our view, this ethos should be associated with Nouns and Noggles. We will leverage our prominence in sports to foster genuine collaborations with non-profits and environmental organizations. We are committed to supporting environmental protection organizations, distributing food, and working with youth during each race week. These steps are also crucial for building our reputation and, eventually, for pursuing securing diplomatic recognition and potentially political autonomy.

# Our Objectives

# Why Sailing Team?
You might think that sailing is extremely far from Noun's culture, but in fact, it is incredibly close. Sailors are individuals who have combined their passion with the public good for hundreds of years. They are the builders who continuously innovate the sport of yachting and the seamanship industry, with a focus on preserving the environment and offsetting carbon footprints. They donate food to the community. They clean seas and beaches. Also, a lot of effort is dedicated to working with the younger generation, educating children to be responsible, and fostering care for nature.
I believe that nounish and sailing cultures can amplify each other and collaborate to fund non-profits and environmental protection organizations, educate children, and volunteer to clean seas.
## Nouns Team Korea x Gentle Monster
Since season one, it has been evident that Red Noggles is among the most valuable assets invented by NounsDAO. It serves as a symbol that people can easily recognize, interact with, and remember. Despite many versions of noggles available today, it remains worthwhile to create one that exudes luxury, fancy, and practical design.
Nouns Team Korea is in an excellent position to facilitate collaboration with Gentle Monster, which intends to expand into sports eyewear. Gentle Monster is a fast-rising eyewear brand, known for its popularity among celebrities. While this collaboration won't happen overnight, leveraging our sailing team's participation in prestigious events like the Rolex regatta, we can propose advertising opportunities during these events that Gentle Monster won't be able to refuse.
## Nouns Team Korea x Korean Soccer team
Nouns Team Korea will also represent Korea, fostering a sense of shared identity and pride among Korean athletes and fans alike. This common bond will lead to mutual support and camaraderie between the Korean Sailing team and other national teams, such as the Korean soccer team. Such cross-sport promotions are common among Korean athletes, as we all share a sense of identity and national pride. We will reach out to Son Heung-min and seize the opportunity to meet with him, sharing our future endeavors in the international sailing arena and promoting Nouns as sponsors who enable us to compete at the highest level.

## 2025 - Nounish Netflix show featuring sailors and celebrities
We understand that this is a very large and expensive project. However, we are also planning to work on an impactful way to tell the story of the internet community that supports public good, artists, and passionate individuals such as the Korean sailing team. More people should know about Nouns, and one of the best ways to achieve this is by producing a Netflix show. During the 2024 sailing season, we will work to expand our network and produce the first draft of a Netflix travel program featuring guest celebrities, competitive sailing, Nounish activities such as volunteering, and environmental protection. We can promise that the first draft of the travel program will reach the desks of Netflix's licensed agents and producers. If successful, we can find additional sponsors in Korea to produce the show next sailing season.
In 2021, we included a sailing scene in the Korean Netflix drama "Remarriage and Desires," where you can see Five and MrJukenson taking the helm of one of the yachts.

One of the largest expenses is acquiring a sailboat for competitions. Unfortunately, the only viable option is purchasing a boat, as renting one entails liability risks in case of damage. Currently, there are several sailboats available on the market, priced between $140,000 and $4,000,000. We believe the optimal choice is to acquire a well-maintained boat with a clean history. After one year of the sailing campaign, we can assess the team's accomplishments and decide whether to continue our journey or sell the boat, returning the funds to NounsDAO.
