# Silly Hacks - Sponsoring an Award for an April Fool's themed hackathon in NYC ## TLDR I'm helping organize an [April Fools Themed Hackathon](https://lu.ma/silly) in NYC on Sat 3/30 and would love to have __Nouns DAO sponsor 3 prizes of $420.69 each for "Most Nounish Hack"__: ![img](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/keep-bbsk/AFgXFlKFM0qihDIQ9ZnIxZj2CdfH8PHCRKciHxho0KbZspDyfO2h_D8yXdjrs4q7dmQ4sxHErIvnuUkxhkNbq63cXLMpXGy3QiToHraHddLE2wBLV2LO=s855) ## Full Proposal Details Hey all - nbaronia.eth here. Long time voter, first time proposer. My friends [Jaclyn Chan](https://twitter.com/straightupjac), [Bobby Thakkar](https://twitter.com/BobbyThakkar) and [I](https://twitter.com/nbaronia1) are hosting a hackathon in NYC on Saturday March 30th for people building "Silly Hacks". __The only rules for the hackathon are:__ * __be as silly as you can be__ * __ship to prod__ I think the concept of silly hacks is very aligned with being nounish, and as Chris Dixon wrote in his seminal blog post, [The next big thing will start out looking like a toy](https://cdixon.org/2010/01/03/the-next-big-thing-will-start-out-looking-like-a-toy). To that end, __I am requesting $1262.07 ($420.69 x 3) to award to the top 3 "Most Nounish Hacks".__ That could be anything cryptonative broadly related to Nouns. Jaclyn, Bobby, and I are all cryptonatives and would be happy to judge and share the hack on socials afterwards and tag Nouns. We are expecting __100+ hackers with diverse backgrounds, ranging from people (1) still in school, (2) people who work in consumer tech, (3) people who work in a creative role (design, product, indie devs, etc) and more.__ This is a high signal event to proliferate the nounish meme at. __100% of the proceeds will go towards the prize pool__, as we already have all the other expenses and logistics covered. Other cryptonative sponsors include Lens for $5k. And if you're a Noun in Now York stop by and say hi!
