# Nouns at Appcon Milan
## Summary
This proposal requests a total of **40,000 USDC** from the treasury to paint a mural in a high-traffic area in Milan, Italy, and to have Nouns represent the Ethereum ecosystem at **Appcon** (7–13 April 2025).
The goal is to embed Nouns' distinctive design and ethos within one of the world’s largest design events, making it visible to millions of people throughout the year while onboarding tens of thousands of new users to Ethereum and the Nouns ecosystem.
The funding will be allocated as follows:
- **15,000 USDC** to commission a mural in an iconic location in the heart of Milan that visually represents Nouns and the Ethereum ecosystem for 1 year. This mural, positioned in a high-traffic area with millions of visitors annually, will guarantee unprecedented exposure and lasting impact.
- **12,500 USDC** to showcase nouns and nounish experiences to visitors at Appcon, introducing them to the ecosystem and educating them about Ethereum. This activation includes noggles and other nouns-based designs integrated into decorative objects, apps, experiences, and branding throughout the venue.
- **12,500 USDC** to cover logistical needs, including lodging for participating teams, shipping costs and set up of physical objects to be showcased at the venue.

## Background
**Appcon** is the first event designed to showcase the top Ethereum applications and experiences to a non-crypto audience. Held during Milan Design Week—the largest design and innovation fair in Europe—Appcon hosts over 100k visitors over a week of immersive activities, workshops, talks, and interactive demos. ## Proposal Details
### 1. Mural Activation (15,000 USDC)
**Objective:**
Commission a mural by talented local artists that captures the synergy between Ethereum, Nouns, and the evolving Ethereum ecosystem.
**Location & Execution:**
- **Site:** Center of BAM park, one of the highest traffic areas of Milan.
- **Feature:** The mural will be painted on the staircase (3D effect) of a highly active socio-cultural center, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement especially from younger audiences.
- **Design:** The artwork will integrate Nouns’ iconic visual language with elements related to Ethereum, with the goal to spark conversation and interest among the audience.
**Impact:**
This mural will serve as a year-long urban installation, offering a dynamic visual narrative that elevates the presence of Nouns and Ethereum in a culturally significant space.
**Cost breakdown:**
The cost covers lodging and food for a week for 6 artists-in-residence, as well as paint and required materials.
### 2. Nouns Showcase at Appcon (12,500 USDC)
- **Objective:**
Show the best of Nouns at Appcon with engaging, interactive experiences and physical items designed to captivate and educate newcomers.
- **Activation Details:**
- **Apps and Experiences:** Dedicated space and booth at the venue to showcase the most fun nounish apps, interactive experiences that introduce Nouns and explain Ethereum to newcomers.
- **Design Showcase:** Noggles and other selected nounish design objects made by the Nouns community will be displayed as part of the Design Week Exhibition at the venue.
- **Branding across the venue:** Placement of Nouns’ branding across the event venue, including digital displays and noggles.
- **Workshops & Talks:** Opportunity to host educational sessions, reinforcing Nouns as a key player to onboard new audiences in the Ethereum ecosystem.
- **Impact:**
This activation will onboard new audiences potentially interested in Nouns to its ecosystem and Ethereum, while positioning Nouns at the forefront of Ethereum’s design innovation during one of the most prestigious design events in the world.
### 3. Logistical Support (12,500 USDC)
**Objective:**
Provide comprehensive logistical support that guarantees all teams and physical assets are fully operational throughout the event.
**Details and Costs breakdown:**
- **Lodging & Transportation (10,000 USDC):** Securing accommodations and local transportation for 5 participating teams of up to 2 people each.
- **Shipping, Setup & Installation (2,500 USDC):** Coordinating the shipment of physical objects and install them at the venue. This includes managing customs (if necessary) and local delivery logistics to guarantee that all materials are available for installation.
