# Implement Automation for Tracking Governance Activities

This proposal suggests the creation of additional bots to keep members informed about governance activities related to DAO.
## Summary
I am [Milad](https://discord.com/users/284122483219759105/), and I am presenting this proposal for the development and upkeep of more bots tailored for the Lil Nouns DAO:
* **Prop Lot Bot:** This bot will gather new ideas from Lil Nouns' [official prop lot](https://lilnouns.proplot.wtf/) and share relevant posts within the designated channel.
* **Prop House Bot:** Tasked with collating new proposals from upcoming Lil Nouns' [official house](https://prop.house/lil-nouns) rounds, this bot will promptly relay them to a specified channel.
## Why do we need them?
The necessity for these bots arises from the fact that most active members are already active on **Discord**. Experience has shown that broadcasting on-chain proposal announcements positively impacts voter participation. Regrettably, we currently lack any automated means to inform our Discord members about other avenues of involvement and the latest developments in our **Prop Lot** and **Prop House**.
## What am I going to do next?
My plan entails implementing these bots within a six-week timeframe after the approval of this proposal. Subsequently, I commit to maintaining them and addressing any bugs related to the implementation for one year. Depending on further feature requests, I will decide whether to integrate them within the current proposal or seek additional funding for their performance.
## What else would be considered?
Expanding to other platforms, like Farcaster, will be considered, and future development efforts will be reduced to implementing those platforms.
Compliance with relevant data protection regulations in the implementations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to protect user privacy would be ensured.
The previously built frameworks and solutions that are accessible will be assessed during first week. They will be integrated if they align with the project's timeline and budget.
Two major bot frameworks, [Nerman](https://nouns.wtf/vote/77) and [BotFrens](https://nouns.wtf/vote/144), already implemented for Nouns, do not possess the features proposed in this proposal.
The software code will be made available to the public under a permissive license. The code will be open source, thereby encouraging collaboration and transparency.
This proposal may involve budget allocation for future maintenance after the initial year, establishing a dedicated maintenance team, or exploring community-driven contributions to maintain the bots' functionality and security.
## What is the budget and costing structure?
The minimum cost for reliable hosting services is approximately $150 annually. Including taxes, hosting these bots for the next five years under this proposal's financial framework totals roughly $1,000.
Additional expenses encompass bot development, maintenance, essential updates for the next year, and minor features and improvements, all encompassed within the scope of this proposal.
