Hey Peter,
I appreciate the time you've put into this and your thoughtful feedback. There are a few things I'd like to touch on regarding your vwr.
Producing a high-quality series and book to the level currently being produced by the DAO does cost, but I think it's important to remember that it's an investment that will provide the deli with endless content and two tangible assets to share our CC0 ethos.
The 'Proliferation' efforts aren't limited to NFT conferences. While the conference we've tentatively will have a huge impact, our partnership with the catering company will allow us to cater a wide variety of events over the 12 months across 3 major capital cities here in AUS. Music festivals, sporting events, charity galas, this is about breaking out of our bubble and telling the Nouns story to completely different audiences.
Regarding the transfer of the Noun, it's going to my team—the guys who don the ⌐◨-◨ daily, repping the Nouns DAO. Personally, I've always signalled my intent to repurchase a Noun. In fact, i was bidding last week. Unfortunately at the time, I couldn't take on the financial unknown risk of the fork. And trust me, I miss my burger ⌐◨-◨.
+1
> charity initiatives, video series, physical cookbook, and sponsoring a nft conference for almost 300k feels like a bit much.
>
> part 1 = for - cost seems high, deliverables around 'monthly community engagement' are vague but i'll trust the team to do a good job.
>
> part 2 = against - very expensive, the interest and reach will be low imo
>
> part 3 = against - nft conferences aren't what they used to be. could be wrong on this one.
>
> part 4 = against - I'm against the free noun because the proposer forked their previous noun.
> I'm for retro-comping the $30k to cover the operational costs used to get the deli where it is today. I'd prefer to see a resized salary for part 1 operations be proposed.
