# Advancing the lootverse through funding Loot Realms onchain game ecosystem
Preface
BiblioDAO, also known as LootRealms, is an ecosystem dedicated to the growth of the Lootverse and Realms ecosystem. It emphasises open-source, Creative Commons Zero (CC0) licensing, and a focus on decentralisation.
Biblio contributors co-founded the Dojo gaming framework to aid development on onchain games. Loot Survivor is one of the earliest fully onchain games and the first of its kind. This initiative by Realms lays the foundation for an open, expandable universe that draws on the original Loot vision, incorporating Loot memetics and assets.
Meanwhile, Biblio is making strides towards launching Realms: Eternum, marking it as the first Autonomous World within the Lootverse.
Loot and BiblioDAO
Biblio aligns all its efforts with the vision of Loot and has emerged as a vital core of the Lootverse, advancing the ecosystem by funding numerous builders and contributing more to Loots progress than any other entity. The DAO has awarded 20 grants worth $200k (at grant time, now worth $800k USD) total (2 rounds, 10 projects selected in each round) in the broader Lootverse, including Loot Auto Chess, GenLoot, Loot Underworld, The Whisper Guard, Mississippi, Crypts & Caverns, Loot Royale, Loot Herald, and Call the Banners: Onchain etc. More than 10 projects outside the selected 20 are also actively working on the Lootverse. Loot has effectively become the No1 autonomous world IP in terms of active ecosystem project and contributor count.
The 2 Frontinus house rounds in late 2023 are similar to the 2 gitcoin grant rounds in mid 2022 except that Dojo the onchain game framework was not available back then. Therefore, the 2022 Gitcoin rounds heavily feature cultural/IP projects while the 2023 batch heavily feature onchain game/Autonomous World projects which can further the original Loot vision.

Biblio has been championing the advancement of the Lootverse for years, solely funded by the Realms ecosystem. However, maintaining this leading role comes with significant costs. This BIP is designed to extend Biblio's ability to continue advancing the vision of Loot as an on-chain gaming primitive.
Biblio is requesting 150 ETH to carry out and enhance Loots onchain gaming presence through multiple initiatives and retroactive funding.
Proposal Breakdown
Royalty DAO currently holds 622 ETH (Approx 1.4 million USD at time of writing). The proposal requests a percentage of Royalty DAO’s Ethereum to enable Biblio to press on with the DAO’s vision.
150 ETH will be requested to carry out this proposal. Breakdown of every cost here:
30 ETH will be used to create Loot Survivor v2 (more details below).
Note: We'll be submitting a separate proposal to the Genesis Project for an additional 15ETH to provide support for Genesis Adventurers and Biblio will be contributing 50k $lords.
120 ETH will be put towards Frontinus.House rounds to fund upcoming builders within the ecosystem.
20 ETH be used for operations and administration for the DAO
100 ETH will be put towards Frontinus.House rounds for Loot games

Loot Survivor V2 - BYOB (Bring Your Own Bags)
Loot Survivor stands as one of the pioneering fully onchain games, currently live and playable on the mainnet. Notably, it's among the few Loot-based games under active development. Our aim is to enhance this concept, making it even more Loot-centric by incorporating the OG Loot bags and GAs.
Loot Survivor BYOB evolves from the original Loot Survivor (LS) game by incorporating Genesis Adventurers and Loot bags from Ethereum mainnet. It enables asset (Loot bags and GAs) owners to engage in the game by using storage proofs which provides bridge-less access to these assets within LS BYOB. The implementation will be generalised to allow other Starknet applications to easily utilise Loot and Genesis Adventurers in their games as well.
Key Features of LS BYOB:
- Play using your Loot bag or Genesis Adventurer.
- Players lacking Loot or a Genesis Adventurer receive one randomly at the start.
- The game features two modes: Loot and GA, each with its own leaderboard.
- Top scorers from both leaderboards earn a share of player rewards.
- $lords serve as the game token.
- Beasts Rewards: If a beast defeats your adventurer, the beast's owner earns a reward. This adds value to the original Loot Survivor, as it uniquely can mint these Beasts. These are the minted beasts from V1. V1 remains the only way to catch these.
- Includes support for Golden Tokens.
Milestones and Timeline for LS BYOB
The funds for Loot Survivor v2 will be kept in custody by reputable BiblioDAO members via a ⅗ multisig. Funds will be dispersed to the builders on a milestone basis:
Loot and GA storage proof bridge completion.
Loot Survivor v2 completion.
50% of the funds will be given upfront to Loothero and DistractedDev upfront and then 25% per milestone. Each milestone will be announced and marketed throughout socials and the Loot Ecosystem, marketing funds will be utilised to create prizes, competitions and challenges for the Loot Ecosystem.
The aim for this is to be completed over a 4-6 months period, aiming to begin on January 1st, 2024, with completion by end of June 2024. All code will be open source from day 1.
