Thanks for the questions Supriyo,
Our current season was indeed budgeted for 6 months, but we were able to stretch it to 9 months. And for this proposal we expect to continue lowering our burn by reducing costs further - but mainly through starting to generate revenue.
Our main areas of optimizations for our current season were: lowering founders’ salaries, increased certainty & stability in contracts with crew resulting in lower costs, reducing production costs and rentals, and training our staff to take on multiple roles to reduce freelancers dependence.
Our production capabilities haven’t been hurt because we’re becoming much more efficient with our shoot days and post production. Piloting and developing new content is very expensive and, now that we are scaling our shows, we’re able to output more content (at a higher quality) for less money.
We completely understand your comment on the current Nouns spend rate. We are concerned for the DAO as well. Funding us to get all the way to sustainability means we don’t have to burden the treasury in the future. But getting to sustainability is going to take a lot of experimentation and having enough runway is essential for us to be able to focus on this task and increase our chances of success. A lower runway means we are more likely to have to come back to the DAO and ask for more funds. It’s a lot of funds for the DAO to spend today, but we strongly believe it’s a bet worth taking on a moonshot that will keep Nouns around forever.
+1

> Nouns at it's current spend rate has less than that left in its treasury lifecycle and this ask only accelerates it vs soften the flow somehow.
