I understand the concerns raised by the "No" votes. Curation is absolutely essential, and I agree that Flows should aim for high-quality participation—prioritizing depth of understanding of the Nouns ecosystem over ease of access. Supporting open-source and privacy-respecting AI is also a crucial principle we shouldn’t overlook.
That said, I believe Flows is carving out a meaningful new layer in the Nounish ecosystem: one where governance, curation, and compensation for DAO contributors are more fluid, aligned, and sustainable. Streaming payments combined with curated access offer better budgetary control and accountability.
Rocketman—I'm voting "Yes" because I trust your vision and your ability to deliver. That trust doesn’t mean ignoring the critiques; in fact, I think it’s vital that the feedback from "No" voters is taken seriously. They’ve surfaced important challenges that should be addressed moving forward.
Before I wrap up, I want to suggest an idea: open up Flows to allow brands and subDAOs to create their own flows. Imagine John from Ledger visits the Flows site and proposes a collaboration: Ledger → Flows → Nouns. A proposal is generated that routes a portion of funds to Nouns (as a service fee) and the rest to the specific Flow contract. In return, the brand gains access to the Nouns community’s unique creative energy, DAO contributors promote both ecosystems, and Nouns receives value for enabling the connection. It’s a win for all sides—proliferation with purpose.
Flows has something undeniably special. Let’s make sure it reaches its full potential—with quality, care, and collaboration.

I am a Latin American musician and composer, with my grant funds I have been able to connect more people to my music and in turn people have enjoyed my proposal that seeks to rescue lost poetic elements and part of my folklore. Of course I am in favor of flows moving forward, there are projects within flows that impact society in an incredible way. I feel very grateful to be able to count on flows to be able to bring my music to more people as well as to connect them to music, in a country like mine where the political situation is garbage. In that sense music and art are a balm for our existence within the chaos. Thanks flows/nouns we move forward. I wouldn't say my project is the best, but I vote for cool projects that have an interesting social impact to go forward. See you on the road friends.

I do have to agree with Jane about a token , use of closed AI, and that the Dao is not a payroll system. I would love to see flows work as a small grant system that then graduates to a prophouse like round and hopefully go towards full on chain proposals for larger funds/streams. Most importantly I would love to see a better system of documentation, cataloging and sharing the wonderful accomplishments of the community not just on farcaster but on all media, perhaps set up weekly bounties on posts and projects that get the most traction and shares. In my opinion there is a lot of focus on the back end framework and accounting and not enough focused on getting the message of nouns out to the world beyond the FC channel . Happy to assist where possible and hope that this helps

Before, it was almost impossible to get projects off the ground without facing a lot of bureaucracy or depending on big institutions. With Flows, everything became more accessible, transparent, and direct. We received continuous financial support, which allowed us to revitalize the plaza, organize skate events, offer social haircuts, and create a safe and welcoming space for young people in our neighborhood.
> > Most importantly, Flows doesn’t just support projects—it values the builders, the people on the front lines making a difference every day. Here, every initiative matters, every idea has space, and everyone can contribute to something bigger. Our community has grown, more young people have gotten involved with skateboarding, we’ve learned together about Web3 and crypto, and we’ve shown that it’s possible to unite technology and real social impact.

Flows is a bridge between those who want to help and those who make things happen, connecting dreams to real opportunities.

> Flows is structured more like a welfare program than a grants one: It's easy to get in, easy to capture curation, and interrupting flows always causes a lot of backlash.
>
> Beyond that, the social dynamics it creates brew conflicts of interest and infighting. It's also adding a ton of noise in governance because builders are incentivized to compete for Nouners attention to try and keep their flows alive.
>
> I think you're trying to solve game theory problems by adding more software. Adding more features will not fix a flawed incentives design.

> Researchers at Gitcoin, Optimism and Ethereum Foundation spent a lot of time figuring out how to fund impactful projects, and they all strayed away from continuous funding mechanisms, and there are reasons for that. It's hard enough to agree on the impact of projects with discrete voting periods...doing it continuously might be near impossible.
>
> You're trying to scale a model that does not work. I think you should scale down and run smaller experiments trying different mechanisms instead.
>
> All that said, I acknowledge that there are some flows that are high impact, and I think we should pair them up with Nouners to propose to the DAO for a streaming grant so they can keep up the good work. Doing this via governance will afford more informed decisions and due diligence, and will ensure we keep a high bar.

> Thank you, Rocketman, for the revised proposal. I appreciate the efforts you’ve made to reduce the budget and prioritize accountability tooling. It’s clear you’re listening to the community and adapting. That said, I still cannot support this proposal in its current form. Let me explain why:
>
> ### 1. **The Budget Remains Too Large**
>
> You’ve mentioned Break Even Movement should “smooth out” capital flows when voting. But this proposal still asks for $435K upfront. Why not take a “smooth” approach—split the budget into milestones incrementally, and let the DAO assess results before committing more capital?
>
> ### 2. **Token Model Still Unknown **
>
> In the previous round, multiple members of the community asked for a clear tokenomics simulation. How will this token work? Who receives how much? What are the expected flows of capital, voting power, and upside? None of that has been modeled or shared. Without a working token design, I can’t justify approving a multi-hundred-thousand-dollar allocation.
>
> ### 3. **Large voting block cannot Influence Flows.wtf cash flows**
>
> It's hard for large Noun holders (30+ votes) to influence how Flows funds are allocated. Until there’s an easy mechanism for large voting block like 5gram and me can manage your internal treasury distribution, I will continue to vote NO. And the baseline “salary” allocations(75%) are too high, I need to see this parameter go down to below 25%.
>
> ### 4. **No to Closed AI**
>
> Please don't use Claude/OpenAI. Using DAO funds to enrich closed, centralized AI models is a hard NO from me.
>
> ### 5. **DAO Is Not a Payroll System**
>
> The DAO is not here to provide recurring salaries indefinitely. If a project cannot survive without continued subsidy from the DAO, it may not be the right fit. I deeply believe in the public goods spirit—but that doesn’t mean guaranteed income. For context: **OpenBSD’s 2025 funding goal is $400K**, and that project secures the global internet. This proposal exceeds that amount.
>
> ### 6. **No Funding Structures That Create Vote Buying Dynamics**
>
> Flows distributes DAO funds. If these funds are then used to influence voters who are themselves beneficiaries, that crosses the line into implicit vote buying. This undermines the integrity of governance. I oppose any system that blurs these lines.
>
> ------
>
> I appreciate all the value Flows has created so far. I know this isn’t an easy system to build. But if we want it to become a sustainable layer of Nouns governance, it must meet a higher bar for financial clarity, openness, and alignment with DAO-wide control structures.
>
> I’m always open to future collaboration and hope to support a tighter, more accountable version of this vision down the line.
