We’re proposing 4 ETH to power a 6-month rollout of ⌐◨-◨news, a media project dedicated to sharing the latest news, triumphs, and key players in the Nouns ecosystem. Our aim is to craft an enduring platform that pulls in new creators and deepens bonds within the DAO community. We believe that without an initiative like this, the DAO risks staying stagnant—lacking the momentum needed to grow and thrive.

We see this as the perfect time to move forward with this plan. The DAO ecosystem is expanding fast, and there’s a pressing demand for a unified, captivating, and approachable content source. ⌐◨-◨news will link builders, highlight achievements, and motivate the next wave of contributors. By harnessing Headline DAO’s purpose and groundwork, we can boost awareness, gain traction, and lay the foundation for consistent, long-term growth throughout the Nouns community.
### Funding Breakdown:
Considering the current price of ETH and concerns about budget allocation, we’ve lowered our request to 4 ETH to cover 6 months of:
Building and maintaining the website
Crafting content (stories, interviews, newsletters)
Spreading the word through promotion
Covering operational needs (team effort and resources)
### Responding to the Veto Prop15:
We recognize pbrianandj.eth’s perspective but don’t entirely agree with the veto. Headline DAO has experienced low voter turnout for an extended period, and our goal with this proposal is to put the DAO back in the spotlight, reignite excitement, and encourage voters and bidders to jump back in.
Taking feedback into account, we’ve cut the social media management component and, given the current price of ETH and concerns about the percentage of the budget this proposal represents, we’ve further reduced our ask from 4.5 ETH to 4 ETH. While the funding might still seem significant, it matches the effort involved—especially for designing and running a website. We’re keen to show what we’re capable of and breathe new life and focus into this DAO.
