Its been pointed the clear intentions of this co-op that has infested this dao. With their successful pause of the auction, they've effectively taken control and shifted the dynamics in their favor.
The only options left are:
A. Stay vigilant and hope enough honest voters turn up in time to block whatever scam props come next.
B. Support the clean dissolution and call it a day.
With no auctions flowing, the likelihood of voters being able to defend this treasury from going to these wolves is very slim.
{"version":1,"title":"Dissolve the dao","description":"This dao has reached a point of no return. The recent pause and coordinated group purchasing have made it structurally unsustainable. Based on current treasury holdings, each token represents 0.020783 ETH in book value, and a full breakdown of wallet balances and corresponding claims has been calculated and included in the transaction. The most rational and equitable path forward is to dissolve the dao and return and divide the treasury to holders at book value."}
It’s important we keep this discussion grounded in what’s actually being proposed.
While I’m not entirely in favor of pausing auctions, I see it as a reasonable temporary measure to address aggressive accumulation, especially when it limits meaningful competition in auctions.
More importantly, I think we should focus on the actual issues at hand which include:
Whether the current base bid reflects real demand
How to encourage broader participation in auctions and voting
What safeguards can reduce potential sybil or governance risks
Those are the factors that will ultimately determine the health of the DAO.
If there are better ideas or alternative approaches, I’m open to them. But I think it’s more productive to focus on strengthening the system than centering the discussion around accusing certain individuals.
Why is everyone trusting that hifive is a good actor and not also planning to drain the treasury? The incredibly aggressive accumulation is a big red flag. The resistance to pausing auctions is another red flag. There are no anti-sybil measures possible. The best option is going to be to extend the duration of the auction and raise the reserve.
Wolves dressed as sheep.
At this point it’s pretty clear what’s going on here. Not once have loregiver.eth, jedxo.eth, or gneric.eth addressed the allegations against them, odd if there was nothing to hide?
I ask other members, how do you plan to stop this dao’s death if this passes? If not defeated or vetoed, they will drain the treasury to ape meme coins, just like before.
19 more days and Hifive can single handedly pass a prop in Headline Dao. Temporary auction pause > Security measures and anti Sybil props > Auction continuation.
While I would have preferred security props to be up and running right now I would like hear everyone’s thoughts on what that could look like to prevent attack either by coordinated block vote or single wallet capture. And to ensure we allow collectors buy NFTs without fear of capture.
loregiver.eth has been slowly acquiring token consistently over the past 3 weeks and will soon hold more voting token than any other token holder.
I propose we close the auction , and update the about section with Nouns Africa community resources and meeting times, until such a time as the DAO can discern the motives of the our new benefactor.
https://nouns.build/dao/base/0x614d7503a44e6fd67997f9945bb32d02e8c19431/vote/17
Temporary Auction Pause v2&&First, I want to acknowledge that hifive.eth is currently the top holder. I have no concerns about that position, and this proposal is not intended to compete for or influence ownership rankings in any way.
I initially put this proposal forward to gauge community sentiment around how we might address potential sybil risks within the DAO.
At the time, I chose not to vote on it because I didn’t want to unilaterally influence the outcome—I wanted to allow space for broader community input and discussion.
I’m reintroducing it now as a temporary approach to addressing these concerns, based on what we’ve observed so far.
I’d like to propose a temporary pause on auctions to allow the community to reassess the current state of the DAO.
Recently, we’ve seen patterns in both the types of proposals being submitted and the concentration of auction wins by a single wallet—often bidding significantly above the base price. While participation is open and competitive by design, this raises important questions around fairness, distribution, and long-term sustainability.
Additionally, earlier observations of possible sybil-like behavior make it important for us to reflect on how value is being captured and distributed within the ecosystem.
This proposal is not aimed at restricting participation, but rather at creating space for alignment as a community.
**Key Questions During This Pause**
***Do we believe the current base bid accurately reflects the value of these NFTs?***
***Should we explore adjusting the base bid to better match perceived value?***
***How do we ensure broader and more equitable participation in auctions?***
***What safeguards can we introduce to reduce potential sybil behavior?***
It’s worth noting that I’ve personally participated in these auctions, primarily at base bid levels and this perspective comes from both participation and observation.
The goal here is simple: to take a step back, align on what we want this DAO to represent, and ensure we’re building something sustainable and fair for everyone involved.
I’d love to hear thoughts from active DAO members through votes or propdates.
Finally, I want to sincerely thank all holders who have taken the time to participate in voting and share their perspectives so far. Your engagement is what gives this DAO its direction, and it’s genuinely appreciated.
I do not support pausing auctions as a solution to concentrated accumulation even though this is a real problem.
Auctions are a core mechanism of the DAO’s growth and participation model. Halting them does not solve governance risk, it only freezes activity and with no clear security measures nor stated timeline for how long the pause would last for it doesn’t sit well as a feasible solution.
there are concerns across the protocol about:
- Sybil attack
- Treasury draining
- Power concentration
Then the solution should be a structural reform, not auction interruption.
I believe we should instead focus on:
- Defining what constitutes a Sybil attack within this DAO and ways to mitigate it
- Establish disclosure thresholds for significant voting control.
- Implementing treasury safeguards (execution delays).
- Exploring anti-concentration mechanisms that don’t halt auctions.
let’s define the standards that apply to everyone
hifive.eth said it all. This is just plain and simple an attempt to grab and cement power with a sybil attack. I have conducted extensive research that showed association between JX / Gneric and the loregiver.eth address. I attempted to address a similar concentration of voting power in NDAfrica, and I am glad to not be the only one who notices and will vote to intervene
This "pause of auctions" is a clear coordinated power grab by wolves dressed as sheep trying to keep control of the DAO. It doesn’t take a genius to see that loregiver.eth, jedxo.eth, and gneric.eth are clearly working in cahoots - linked wallets and with exact same voting history across daos.
Pausing the auction over accumulation concerns is rich coming from the current largest voting bloc, let alone when it’s coming from a group that owns a combined 24% of the supply.
Prop 25, proposed by jedxo.eth, collected 2.05 ETH and immediately relayed it to Solana to ape into meme's.
Cut the DAO protector act. This proposal should be veto’d. Hifive for effort though. 🙌
Temporary Pause of Auctions for Review&&I’d like to propose a temporary pause on auctions to allow the community to reassess the current state of the DAO.
Recently, we’ve seen a pattern in both the types of proposals being submitted and the concentration of auction wins by a single wallet, often bidding significantly above the base price. **Key questions to consider during this pause:**
* Do we believe the current base bid accurately reflects the value of these NFTs?
* Should we explore adjusting the base bid to better match perceived value?
* How do we ensure broader and more equitable participation in auctions?
* Are there safeguards we should introduce to reduce potential sybil behavior?

The organization and production plan sound polished, but I’m skeptical the metrics are achievable.
There’s limited evidence to support the projected scale.
The deliverables and success metrics are not factual, how do you promise views and follower counts on an account that doesn’t exist Yet? Unless it will be botted?
This is just straight copy/pasted from AI, part of the response wasn’t even edited out at the beginning. None of the past work has metrics anywhere close to what is being categorized as “success”, why is funding this all of the sudden going to change that?

# Blockchain Africa: Headline
## The Journalistic Voice for African Blockchain
*"Explained Simply. Covered Fully."*
| Amount Requested | Duration | Focus |
|------------------|----------|-------|
| **2.0 ETH** | **12 Weeks** | **Kenya First** |
---
## Descriptive Title
Blockchain Africa: Headline - The Journalistic Voice for African Blockchain
---
## Summary
We are requesting 2.0 ETH to establish Africa's first professional blockchain journalism operation. We will deliver 6 bi-weekly news reels, 20+ short-form updates, 50+ interviews, and rigorous project vetting — all within 12 weeks. Our team brings 25+ years of broadcast excellence combined with deep Web3 native expertise.
---
## Issue/Context
Africa is the most active, underserved crypto continent on Earth. The current blockchain coverage gap presents three critical problems:
- **The Jargon Barrier:** Potential users hear "DeFi" and "NFTs" but never get the "so what?" explained in plain language. The language gap prevents mainstream adoption.
- **No Journalistic Vetting:** Projects launch without scrutiny. Communities invest without understanding risks. There's no trusted voice asking the hard questions.
- **Subpar Content Quality:** What currently exists includes shaky phone footage with poor audio, weeks-late recaps with no narrative or context, and burnt-out creators producing inconsistent, unsustainable content.
---
## Proposal (The Ask)
We are asking for **2.0 ETH** to execute a hybrid media operation with a two-pronged approach:
| Component | Description | Output Target |
|-----------|-------------|---------------|
| Field Reporting | Real-time updates within 48 hours of breaking news | 20+ Short-Form Updates |
| Studio Broadcast | Professional multicamera production from Nairobi | 6 Bi-Weekly News Reels (45-60 min) |
### Core Principles
- Always asking: "What does this mean for the person watching?"
- Always asking: "Is this project legit?"
- Kenya-first focus with continental expansion roadmap
### Studio Production: 6 Bi-Weekly News Reels
| Attribute | Specification |
|-----------|---------------|
| Location | Nairobi, Kenya |
| Frequency | Every 2 weeks (6 episodes) |
| Format | 45-60 minutes, multicamera broadcast |
### 6-Episode Arc
1. **The Money** — DeFi, funding, financial inclusion
2. **The Life** — Real-world adoption stories
3. **The Culture** — NFTs, art, community
4. **The Build** — Developer spotlight, infrastructure
5. **The Network** — DAOs, governance, collaboration
6. **The Future** — What's next for African blockchain
---
## North Star Check
**How does this proposal further the mission/vision of Headline DAO?**
Headline DAO is building the infrastructure for decentralized journalism. Blockchain Africa: Headline extends that mission to the most active, underserved crypto continent on Earth. This proposal directly aligns with Headline DAO's vision by:
- Establishing first-mover access to Africa's Web3 narrative
- Creating an open-source content library (50+ interviews, 200+ min B-roll)
- Deploying a proven broadcast team (25+ years experience)
- Providing 2.0 ETH return commitment + future round rights
DAO resources will be utilized to build professional media infrastructure owned by Africans, providing a journalistic voice asking "why does this matter?" in plain language, and offering project vetting to protect communities from scams.

After reviewing the most recent passed proposals, I noticed that contributors from the "WeThem Media" project have previously received funding. Continuing to disburse funds from this treasury to members of the same community raises concerns, unless clear deliverables from previously funded contributors are presented. I’m open to being proven otherwise upon review of those outcomes.

This year at ETH Denver I am going to be showcasing what We Them Media can do and inviting people to support our journalism by collecting tokens from Headline DAO.
Who Benefits Revised&&# "Who Benefits?"
## Documenting the Ethereum Movement Around the World
### A Headline DAO Partnership Proposal
**From Lagos to Denver — 10 countries documenting who Ethereum is really for.**
---
## Executive Summary
**The ask:** 2.5 ETH (~$5,750) — 36% of treasury.
**The project:** "Who Benefits?" — an 18-episode documentary series asking who Ethereum is really for. 13 guests confirmed across 10 countries. Arc 1 (4 episodes) fully locked.
**The deliverables:** 16 ETH Denver interviews, 4 pilot episodes, synthesizing article, post-event report. Every piece closes with "Thank you, Headline DAO." Presenting sponsor branding on all 18 episodes.
**The team:** Maceo Whatley (EP/journalist), Bayo (post-production), Gift (social media). 55% of budget goes to the team. Track record includes ETH Denver, Devcon, ETH CC, FWB Fest, and 10+ African blockchain events.
**The timeline:** ETH Boulder (Feb 13-15), ETH Denver (Feb 17-21), article before leaving Denver (Feb 21), pilot arc delivered end of March.
**The vision:** Headline DAO becomes the home for freelance Web3 journalism. This series is the flagship.
**Revision note:** We initially proposed 4.1 ETH. Based on community feedback that this was too large an ask, we've revised to 2.5 ETH (36% of treasury) while maintaining all core deliverables. This demonstrates our commitment to partnership and fiscal responsibility.

*"This question is so timely. With Ethereum — Who Benefits?"*
— DeFi Dave, confirmed guest

## The Story
Decisions being made right now about Ethereum — by regulators, institutions, and builders — will determine whether this technology replicates the extractive systems we already have or creates something genuinely different.
We're documenting what that looks like from people living it on the ground.
From Argentina, Venezuela, and Mexico, where stablecoins aren't speculation — they're survival. From Brazil, where community currencies are being tested as UBI infrastructure. From Ethiopia, where Yoseph Ayele — who organized the Ethereum Foundation's Africa tour with Vitalik Buterin — is coordinating the continent's top founders to build Africa's economy on-chain. From Croatia, where MiCA is reshaping what's possible.
Every interview, every episode, every piece of content returns to one question: **Who benefits from the way this is being built — and who should?**
---
## Why Now
We are at an inflection point. The CLARITY Act is stalled in negotiations. Europe is implementing MiCA. Optimism just passed buybacks that signal institutional confidence in the Superchain. Countries are choosing how to engage with tokenization — and those choices will lock in for years.
ETH Denver is where builders, policymakers, and funders converge. This is the moment to document what's happening — not after the fact.
---
## The Opportunity
We're producing an 18-episode documentary series. The team is assembled. The guests are confirmed. Production is happening.
This is an opportunity for Headline DAO to get presenting sponsor visibility on professional journalism that's already in motion.
### 2.5 ETH (~$5,750)
This represents 36% of the current treasury (~$16,000). A meaningful partnership that shows fiscal responsibility.
Headline DAO gets exposure. We get resources to bring a story from Denver to life. Mutual leverage.
---
## North Star Check
**Headline DAO's mission:** Fund decentralized journalism.
**What we're doing:** On-the-ground reporting from ETH Denver and a documentary series asking "who benefits" from Ethereum's development — journalism with an economic justice lens, distributed globally.
Your mission is our work. This is alignment.
---
## What Headline DAO Gets
**Presenting sponsor on ALL 18 episodes — not just the pilot.**
You're funding the pilot, but your branding carries through the entire series. The intro, the outro, the Headline DAO bumper — all 18 episodes. First-mover advantage.
- 16 ETH Denver interviews (each closes: "Thank you, Headline DAO")
- 4 pilot episodes with Headline DAO sponsor bumper
- Series assets carrying your branding through all 18 episodes
- Synthesizing article crediting Headline DAO (published before leaving Denver)
- Post-event report with insights and recommendations (Feb 28)
- Visibility across 10+ countries — Africa, LATAM, Europe, and beyond
- Equipment (DJI Creator Combo) stays in the ecosystem, continuing to produce Headline DAO journalism
- Monthly updates to DAO forum/Discord
---
## Why Headline DAO
Headline DAO is more than a grant program — it's the primitive for decentralized journalism.
Forefront raised $2.1M to build the infrastructure for web3 media. When the bear market hit, that vision stalled. The opportunity is still here. Headline DAO can be what Forefront aimed to become — but focused on journalism, funded by the community, and built to last.
Web3 has storytellers everywhere. From Lagos to Buenos Aires to Bangkok, journalists are documenting this movement without corporate sponsors, without editorial capture, without a safety net. What they lack is a home — a network that gives community-driven narrative global distribution.
**Headline DAO can be that home.**
By funding this series, you're not just supporting We Them Media. You're building the infrastructure for independent crypto journalism worldwide. Every token holder becomes a stakeholder in the stories that get told. Every grant strengthens a network of freelance journalists who answer to the community, not to sponsors.
We are crypto journalists asking the question that matters most: **who benefits?** Your mission is our work. Let's build the network together.
---
## The Journalism
### ETH Denver: 16 Interviews
On the ground at Ethereum's flagship event. Walking the floor, pulling builders aside, asking the questions that matter:
- What are you building — and who is it for?
- What does adoption actually look like from where you're standing?
- What decision being made right now — by builders, regulators, or funders — will matter most in five years?
- Who benefits from the way Ethereum is being built right now — and who should?
Each interview closes with: **"Thank you, Headline DAO."**
### Returning to Denver — With Systems in Place
Two years ago, we were at ETH Denver with the same budget and no infrastructure. We shot content, made connections, and learned what it takes to cover an event of this scale.
Since then, we've built the systems. Live streamed ETH Safari from Kenya. Covered ETH CC in Belgium, Devcon in Thailand, Oasis Onchain in the Bahamas, FWB Fest. Shot content at Web3Bridge, Web3Lagos, Avalanche Tour Nigeria, Bitcoin Pizza Day in Abuja and Accra, ETH Ethiopia, ETH Accra, ETH Enugu, ETH Jos. Our content team delivers real-time production at these events. We know how to work together under pressure.
Now we're coming back to Denver — **with a production team, a distribution strategy, a series ready to scale, and a new story to tell.**
---
## The Pilot: Arc 1 — "The Stakes"
Four episodes. Four perspectives. Four stories of what Ethereum actually means when your economy is in crisis, when your government has failed you, when the old systems never worked in the first place.
**All 4 guests confirmed.**
| Ep | Guest | Location | Angle |
|----|-------|----------|-------|
| 1 | Peth | Croatia | DAOs, storytelling, how to tell the Ethereum story |
| 2 | Yoseph Ayele | Pan-African | Borderless Africa, magma founder program, LAVA fund |
| 3 | Cypherbadger | Argentina / Venezuela / Mexico | LATAM policy, stablecoins as survival, BTC vs ETH |
| 4 | Camila Rioja | Brazil | Community currencies, UBI experiments, pop-up cities |
Each episode closes with: **"Thank you, Headline DAO."**
---
## The Hosts
**Three voices. Three perspectives. One question.**
**Maceo Whatley (Executive Producer, Lead Host)** — Founder of We Them Media. 4 years in crypto as journalist and entrepreneur. 3,000+ followers across socials reaching builders globally. Covered events across four continents: ETH Safari (live streamed from Kenya), ETH Ethiopia, ETH Accra, ETH Enugu, ETH Jos, Web3Bridge, Web3Lagos, Bitcoin Pizza Day, Avalanche Tour Nigeria, ETH CC Belgium, Oasis Onchain Bahamas, FWB Fest, Devcon Thailand. Published in Water & Music since 2023. FWB DAO grant recipient. Formerly an academic researcher (published in Frontiers in Psychology), Maceo brings high context and a knack for breaking down complex topics. With this series, he's committed to getting the world to know that Ethereum is a technology designed for economic justice.
**Zaal — BetterCallZaal (Co-Host)** — Founder of ZAO Foundation, WaveWarZ, and ZAO Festivals. Building decentralized infrastructure for independent artists. Zaal brings a builder's perspective from working directly with creators and communities that have talent but lack access, capital, and distribution. His question: "How is the world meaningfully better because of what you're building?"
**Ohnaji B (Co-Host)** — Founder of Ohnahji University — "Web3's First HBCU" — providing blockchain education for Black and brown communities since 2022. Ohnaji B has built a space where people of color can learn blockchain fundamentals and build ownership in the digital economy. Zaal and Ohnaji B formerly hosted "Let's Talk About Web3" — now partnering with We Them Media to take the show global.

## The "Who Benefits?" Report
At series conclusion, we publish a comprehensive report synthesizing insights from all 18 episodes. This isn't a transcript summary — it's original research:
- Global adoption patterns across emerging markets
- Policy impact analysis — what's working, what isn't
- The "Who Benefits?" framework — replicable lens for evaluating blockchain infrastructure
- Builder recommendations — direct insights from people doing the work
Distributed to ecosystem funders, policymakers, and media. This positions We Them Media as a research entity, not just a content producer.

## 🌍 The Story
Ethereum’s future is being shaped right now — by regulators, institutions, and builders.
Those decisions determine whether crypto:
- replicates extractive systems
**or**
- creates economic freedom
We’re documenting what this looks like from people living it.
From:
- Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico → stablecoins as survival
- Brazil → community currencies + UBI experiments
- Ethiopia → coordinated on-chain African economies
- Croatia → MiCA reshaping regulation
Every episode returns to one question:
> **Who benefits from the way Ethereum is being built — and who should?**
---
## ⏰ Why Now
- CLARITY Act stalled
- Europe implementing MiCA
- Institutional capital entering Ethereum
- Countries choosing tokenization policy
These choices lock in for years.
**ETH Denver is the decision-making hub.**
This is the moment to document — not recap later.

# Headline DAO funds crypto journalism.
## We are crypto journalists.
### Let’s bring this story to life.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
TOO FUCKING LATE. The people who highjacked the vote ALREADY HAS ENOUGH VOTES TO VETO YOU! These subDAOs were simply tax havens for peoples crypto money. Nothing more nothing less, let them take it all because you mfers don't care about shyt but getting off your nut. There's no real communities in these subDAOs just self service machines for the fam. I sneer at those who thought bringing their money onchain to wave it in peoples faces knowing good and damn well most these subDAOs never intended it to be for public community. Yalls systems are ALL WEAK ASF and you did that on purpose so that you could reach your tax free money easier and now that other people figured out access to it you sitting here looking dumb trying to scramble and protect your "public money fund" aka DAO from being drained and your tax free money being emptied Good on whoever got it to actually use it. Maybe these SubDAOs will finally wake up..... Wait no, most did and hence why they've moved their money OFF of builder into vaults... Yall didn't see the patterns or you chose to ignore it because secretly your cut of that tax free money needs to bbe saved too. Sad times for fake DAOs. 2025 was the year of enlightenment. Wonder what 2026 brings us.
Im torn. I like this proposal but feel that it should be structured as an escrow milestone proposal. This proposal lends itself to milestone based updates and funds released in tranches. If passed, I hope that we can expect consistent propdates .
Increase Voting Threshold&&**Summary**
This proposal recommends increasing the voting threshold required to pass proposals in Headline DAO from 10% to 20%, in response to changes in holder distribution, participation levels, and governance risk.
**Background**
When Headline DAO was smaller, a 10% voting threshold helped encourage participation and experimentation. Over time, the DAO has seen a decent increase in total holders, but governance participation has not grown at the same rate.
A significant number of early holders are no longer active in governance, reducing effective voter turnout.
**Problem Statement**
Given:
-A low voting threshold,
-Low participation from inactive or early holders, and
-The ease of coordinating votes across multiple wallets,
the DAO is currently vulnerable to governance manipulation.
Small, coordinated groups; including Sybil-style teams can accumulate enough voting power to pass proposals that do not reflect broader community consensus, including proposals that directly benefit the proposer.
**Proposed Change**
-Increase the voting threshold required for proposal approval from 10% → 20%.
**Why 20%?**
-Better reflects actual active participation, not just total holders.
-Makes coordinated vote manipulation more difficult and costly.
-Encourages broader discussion and alignment before proposals pass.
-Improves the legitimacy of governance outcomes.
**Expected Benefits**
-Reduced risk of vote gaming and coordination attacks.
-Stronger governance integrity.
-Decisions that better reflect active community intent.
-Increased confidence in DAO processes.
**Conclusion**
As Headline DAO evolves, its governance framework must adapt to participation realities. Increasing the voting threshold is a proactive step toward more resilient, representative, and trustworthy governance.
Pan African Blockchain Media and Event Tour 2026 V2&&**TL;DR**
This proposal requests 2.05 ETH ($6,100) to execute a Pan-African blockchain event tour in 2026, covering 4 major Blockchain events across Africa. The tour will document founders, builders, and attendees through fun, high-quality video content, publish articles, real-time social updates, and distribute interactive Nouns-themed educational games and crypto quiz cards to engage newcomers. By combining storytelling, media, and playful learning, this initiative will expand Nouns culture and strengthen its presence across African crypto communities.
***Confirmed Events Include***: Africa Blockchain, DeFi & Web3 Summit (Lagos) • ETH Accra(Ghana) • ETH Safari(Kenya) • Zanziblock(Tanzania)
**About Me**
I am a musician, blockchain educator, philanthropist, and core contributor at Nouns DAO Africa. My work blends culture, community engagement, and on-chain advocacy to support African builders and DAO initiatives.
***Relevant Experience:***
•Host of Spotlighting African Builders — 10+ episodes, 10+ founders, 3,000+ listeners
•Event co organizer and educator at ETH Enugu 2025 for Nouns DAO Africa
•Prev Social Media Manager & Partnerships Lead at Wethem Media
• DAO Contributor: Lil Nouns and Nouns DAO Africa
**Problem Statement**
Africa’s blockchain ecosystem is expanding rapidly, yet the stories, builders, and cultural moments shaping it remain largely undocumented.
***Key Issues:***
•Lack of proper documentation for builders, products, and event activities
•Limited engaging and interactive educational materials at events
•Minimal Nouns visibility across African blockchain communities
**Solution**
The tour addresses these gaps by capturing events through fun, high-quality interviews, distributing playful Nouns-themed crypto quiz cards, and preserving all content on-chain through published articles and NFT-minted videos.
The quiz cards will be custom-designed by **Play2Learn Games**, a team focused on gamified education and interactive learning. Each card features engaging, easy-to-understand questions about cryptocurrencies, DAOs, and core blockchain concepts, designed to turn interviews into participatory learning experiences rather than passive content.
During events, attendees can test their knowledge while engaging with speakers, and five newcomers at each stop will receive a full set of quiz cards to take home, extending the learning beyond the event itself. This approach strengthens grassroots crypto education, expands Nouns visibility in a playful and accessible way, and ensures African builder stories are thoughtfully documented and widely shared.
**### More info on Play2Learn:** https://linktr.ee/play2learngames

Total: ~$6,100 ≈ 2.05ETH( At market price of 2970 ETH per USD)
**IMPACT**
Africa is one of the fastest-growing crypto regions, yet its builders, events, and innovations remain largely under-documented. As someone passionate about blockchain adoption on the continent, I aim not only to document the stories of builders and users currently leveraging the technology but also to onboard new audiences by helping them understand blockchain at its most fundamental level.
This initiative goes beyond storytelling, it demonstrates that blockchain adoption isn’t just for developers, but also for anyone who wants to bring what they already love and do on-chain. By preserving the experiences of crypto-native builders and users, we showcase how blockchain can support culture preservation, creativity, and community innovation.
Through a combination of media coverage, on-chain documentation, and playful educational materials like Nouns-themed quiz cards, this tour creates a lasting cultural and educational impact. Each event becomes an opportunity to engage, teach, and celebrate African innovation, while amplifying Nouns culture across new communities and ensuring that these stories are permanently recorded on-chain.

This proposal represents a second attempt at bringing this vision to life, following careful reflection and adjustments made to improve feasibility and impact. As part of this refinement, I’ve streamlined the tour plan by removing South Africa from the route, which was one of the most cost-intensive destinations, allowing the project to better align with available resources while maintaining its core mission and reach.
This revised approach strengthens the likelihood of executing this goal in 2026, ensuring the tour remains intentional, sustainable, and focused on delivering meaningful value to the ecosystem.

Funding Decentralized Field Reporting at Devconnect and Beyond&&**Summary**
Requesting 1 ETH to continue producing decentralized, high-quality crypto journalism at Devconnect and across Africa. This funding equips me with the professional tools needed to elevate storytelling, capture high-fidelity interviews, and consistently publish short-form media that amplifies builders, founders, and communities.
**About Me**
I am a **Nounish educator, storyteller, and community journalist**, contributing to the ecosystem through:
* **Nouncilor and Lil Nouns Ambassador (attending Devconnect)**
* **Core Contributor and Educator at Nouns DAO Africa**
* **Contributor and Operations lead at We Them Media**
* **Educator on blockchain foundations and Onchain activities**
* **Founder of Vibes & Styles, A Phygital fashion Brand showcasing real world use case of crypto as a business**
I’ve documented and interviewed builders at **ETH Enugu**, **ETH Jos**, and other grassroots Ethereum events creating and editing short-form content that highlights their experiences and the uniqueness of the crypto scene.
This proposal builds upon that work and expands it beyond Devconnect into long-term, community-aligned decentralized journalism.
**The Problem**
I will already be attending **Devconnect**, but content creation using only a phone setup is not sustainable and significantly limits quality.
Challenges with phone-only production include:
* Poor audio clarity in noisy event halls
* Lighting inconsistencies
* Stabilization issues
* Limited storage and slow editing
* Lower production value, reducing shareability and impact
To properly document builders, communities, and real-time innovation at Devconnect and future African events, a professional kit is essential.
**The Solution**
With Headline DAO’s support, I will acquire the necessary equipment to produce premium Web3 journalism and documentation starting with Devconnect and continuing across the Nigerian and African Ethereum ecosystem.

**Why This Matters**
Africa is one of the most rapidly expanding crypto regions, yet many stories remain undocumented:
* small teams building great tools
* communities innovating with limited resources
* events shaping local governance, culture, and adoption
Decentralized journalism brings these stories on-chain and into the global conversation. With proper equipment and support, I can capture:
* authentic builder perspectives
* grassroots community development
* the cultural layer of crypto adoption
* how DAOs empower local ecosystems
This coverage becomes long-lasting public-good media, directly aligned with Headline DAO’s ethos.
**Why Headline DAO**
Your mission perfectly reflects what this project is about:
> “Headline is an experiment in decentralized journalism… to fund crypto journalists.”
By supporting this proposal, Headline DAO empowers an independent Web3 journalist and creator to create **Nounish, community-driven, open media** that bridges cultures and amplifies global builders.

This 1 ETH grant will make high-quality, decentralized journalism inevitable not just at Devconnect, but across ongoing crypto events. With your support, I can continue capturing and preserving the stories that matter, in a format that reaches far beyond the moment.
Thank you for considering this proposal. I’m excited to continue documenting the ecosystem with the backing of Headline DAO.

This exact proposal has been made before. I will veto again for the same reason.
Reason from last time:
"While the more equitable distribution of funds and the attempt at a good faith retention of a % of funds to the dao make this the least bad proposal of its kind thusfar the fact that it still results in people effectively arbing the DAO means that I can't support it. Moreover, based again on the criteria laid out in the founding documents of the dao, I will veto it as the arb nature strikes me as a "threat to the treasury".
I would likely support a proposal that offered a rage quit like mechanism if it resulted in people forfeiting their tokens AND not getting more ETH out than they put in. "
I stand by this. If a proposal was made that burns tokens during ragequit and results in a more equitable distribution of funds I would not count it as something worth vetoing by the dao's charter. I've started some work on this myself but given that it requires a bit of smart contract work can't commit to a timeline.
Noggle News - Reflection &&### Reflection
We’ve gone back to the drawing board, reflecting on how we can bring value back to Headline DAO while tapping into what Nouns DAO is searching for. We believe we’ve landed on a solution: ⌐◨-◨news will proliferate the Nouns ecosystem by amplifying its voice across Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Farcaster. By inviting proposers to join Headline DAO through a token-driven feature program, we hope to start this flywheel.
### Brief:
We’re proposing 3 ETH to power a 3-month social media runway for ⌐◨-◨news, focusing on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Farcaster. Our mission is to showcase Nouns ecosystem projects, people, and potential. Having worked in socials, marketing, and branding, we’ve seen countless proposals lose steam post-delivery due to the lack of an official presence. This is our proving ground, a chance to change that and demonstrate Headline DAO’s value within the ecosystem. For a small fee, proposers can buy Headline DAO tokens to have their proposals featured, driving revenue back to our DAO while amplifying their efforts. ♻️
### Our Goals:
Prove Headline DAO’s effectiveness to Nouns DAO through a high-impact, 3-month trial.
Onboard proposers into Headline DAO via token purchases, sparking momentum.
Build a lively, official presence that draws in and retains new community members.
Why Headline DAO? Why Now?
Headline DAO was born to amplify the Nouns ecosystem, and this pivot reflects what we’ve heard: a need for clarity and connection. Many newcomers don’t jump in right away, they watch social media to get a feel for the space before engaging. We absolutely need someone managing these channels to build credibility and support hardworking proposals. By focusing on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Farcaster, we’ll meet people where they are. This 3-month trial lets us show the ecosystem what we can do, onboarding through token-driven features and proving our model works.
### Funding Breakdown:
We’re requesting 3 ETH for a 3-month runway to cover:
Content creation and daily posting across four platforms.
Setting up and managing the token-for-feature program.
Tracking and reporting engagement metrics to Nouns DAO.
Noggle News V3&&### Our Vision:
⌐◨-◨news will act as the ultimate resource for everything Nounish, keeping everyone updated on major happenings while celebrating the brilliant minds and efforts shaping the 'nouniverse.' Right now, there’s no single place pulling all this together, and we’re convinced ⌐◨-◨news can fill that void, driving participation and igniting ideas for newcomers.
### Brief:
We’re proposing 4 ETH to power a 6-month rollout of ⌐◨-◨news, a media project dedicated to sharing the latest news, triumphs, and key players in the Nouns ecosystem. Our aim is to craft an enduring platform that pulls in new creators and deepens bonds within the DAO community. We believe that without an initiative like this, the DAO risks staying stagnant—lacking the momentum needed to grow and thrive.
**What We’ll Deliver:**
⌐◨-◨news Website - ⌐◨-◨news.wtf: A lively, constantly refreshed site offering news from across the Nouns ecosystem’s DAOs.
Weekly Newsletter Subscription: Handpicked highlights delivered to your inbox, with a mintable collectible option.
Profiles and Interviews: Deep dives into the work and stories of pivotal contributors, putting their impact front and center.
Our Goals:
**Through spotlighting top-tier proposals and their creators, we plan to:**
Bring new builders into the fold.
Honor the community’s wins.
Create a space for exposure that fuels teamwork and innovation.
Why Headline DAO? Why This Moment?
Headline DAO was founded to spark efforts just like this—community-led media that lifts up the Nouns ecosystem. With its vast untapped promise, Headline DAO is the ideal home for ⌐◨-◨news and its mission to weave together and broadcast the narratives that matter most in the 'nouniverse.'
We see this as the perfect time to move forward with this plan. The DAO ecosystem is expanding fast, and there’s a pressing demand for a unified, captivating, and approachable content source. ⌐◨-◨news will link builders, highlight achievements, and motivate the next wave of contributors. By harnessing Headline DAO’s purpose and groundwork, we can boost awareness, gain traction, and lay the foundation for consistent, long-term growth throughout the Nouns community.
### Funding Breakdown:
Considering the current price of ETH and concerns about budget allocation, we’ve lowered our request to 4 ETH to cover 6 months of:
Building and maintaining the website
Crafting content (stories, interviews, newsletters)
Spreading the word through promotion
Covering operational needs (team effort and resources)
### Responding to the Veto Prop15:
We recognize pbrianandj.eth’s perspective but don’t entirely agree with the veto. Headline DAO has experienced low voter turnout for an extended period, and our goal with this proposal is to put the DAO back in the spotlight, reignite excitement, and encourage voters and bidders to jump back in.
Taking feedback into account, we’ve cut the social media management component and, given the current price of ETH and concerns about the percentage of the budget this proposal represents, we’ve further reduced our ask from 4.5 ETH to 4 ETH. While the funding might still seem significant, it matches the effort involved—especially for designing and running a website. We’re keen to show what we’re capable of and breathe new life and focus into this DAO.
Noggle News V2&&### Addressing the Veto:
Although we understand the concern of pbrianandj.eth, we don’t necessarily agree with the veto. There has been little to no voter turnout in Headline DAO for some time now. What we set out to achieve is to highlight the DAO, bring attention back to it, and encourage voters and bidders to re-engage.
We have removed the social media management aspect of the proposal, which has reduced the total budget. While this proposal may seem like a significant amount of money, it reflects the amount of work involved, including website design and management. We hope you can give us the opportunity to showcase our skills and bring renewed energy and focus to this DAO.
### TL;DR:
We’re seeking 4.5 ETH to fund a 6-month runway for ⌐◨-◨news, a media publication dedicated to showcasing the latest headlines, achievements, and talent within the Nouns ecosystem. Our goal is to create a sustainable platform that drives new builders and fosters deeper connections across the DAO community.
### The Vision:
⌐◨-◨news will serve as the go-to hub for all things Nounish, ensuring members stay informed about key updates and celebrating the incredible people and proposals shaping the 'nouniverse.' Currently, no platform exists to centralize this type of content, and we believe ⌐◨-◨news can fill that gap while driving engagement and inspiring new contributors.
### Deliverables:
**⌐◨-◨news Website -** ⌐◨-◨news.wtf
A dynamic platform providing up-to-date headlines from DAOs within the Nouns ecosystem.
**Weekly Subscription Newsletter**
Curated insights delivered directly to inboxes and available to mint as a collectible.
**Interviews and Features**
Exclusive conversations with key contributors and builders in the ecosystem, showcasing their work and impact.
### Impact:
By highlighting successful proposals and the individuals driving them, we aim to:
- Attract new builders to the ecosystem.
- Celebrate achievements within the community.
- Provide a platform for visibility that encourages collaboration and innovation.
### Why Headline? Why Now?
Headline DAO was seeded to execute exactly this kind of initiative: creating impactful, community-driven media that elevates the Nouns ecosystem. As a DAO with so much untapped potential, Headline is uniquely positioned to support ⌐◨-◨news and its mission to centralize and amplify the stories that matter across the 'nouniverse.'
With the DAO ecosystem rapidly expanding, the need for centralized, accessible, and engaging content has never been greater. ⌐◨-◨news will serve as the go-to hub for connecting builders, highlighting achievements, and inspiring future contributors. By leveraging Headline DAO’s foundation and vision, we can drive awareness, momentum, and innovation throughout the Nouns community.
### Budget:
We’re requesting **4.75 ETH** to cover the costs of the following over six months:
- Website development and hosting
- Content creation (articles, interviews, newsletters)
- Marketing and promotion
- Operational costs (team compensation and tools)
⌐◨-◨news.eth [PREVIEW](https://imgpile.com/p/tysgDpl)
As no other DAO members have voted for this proposal, and this proposal requests the majority of the DAO’s treasury—particularly with the proposer owning just over the amount of tokens required to pass the proposal—I believe it falls within the guidelines of the original DAO charter to veto this proposal. It meets the definition of being a “risk to DAO resources.”
The proposer is welcome to resubmit their proposal with evidence that it is not simply an attempt to “game” the DAO’s treasury outside of the DAO’s mission. Specifically, if they can rally support from other DAO members and demonstrate that this is a good-faith proposal, I will not block it.
I appreciate your submission and also hope you understand that, in the world of crypto and within a DAO where token price and treasury are disconnected, precautions must be taken.
