# Surf for Good - Empowering Girls Through Education and Sport

Samira and I have been working since August 2024 on a proposal to bring technology and Web3 to a new generation. Partnering with one of the most impactful social projects in our city, we see a huge opportunity to empower girls aged 7 to 17 through innovation. **Now is the time to introduce Web3 as a tool for education, growth, and future opportunities.**
[Surf for Good](https://www.instagram.com/surfdobem/) is a social project founded in 2021 in Búzios, Rio de Janeiro, with the bold mission of empowering girls aged 7 to 17 from public schools through education, surfing, and personal development. In a city where tourism thrives but opportunities for local youth, especially girls, are scarce, Surf for Good bridges this gap, growing from 80 to 180 students and gaining national recognition, including a feature on "Canal Off" in 2024. With plans to expand to 350 students, it is more than just an initiative—it’s a movement shaping the next generation of leaders and change-makers.
