The $nogs in the Nouns treasury are extremely important because they will allow Nouns treasury and Nouns holders to benefit (in terms of value and utility) from everything that’s coming this year.
And I swear, as always for anything we release, Lils will stay at the head of the curve too.
I already stated that the mismanagement of those unused nogs last year and the absence of communication has been incredibly naive and, believe it or not, it still haunts me every day.
I’m so angry with myself about how the mess of those months has been able to obliterate everything I did in the past 3 years, but, even if It’s been a huge setback from every point of view, nogs is our #1 priority and with it, also Nouns and Lils and the other communities.
I’m personally recovering from the second surgery of the year and I’ll be back in a few days, but the dev team continued to work and we are ready to release the upgrade of nogs this week.
Apart from the changes in supply and decentralisation I’ve already shared, we are also ready to release the following:
- Nouns Redeem: The Nouns acquired through the acquisition program will be managed by nogs holders. Holders will be able to vote and even sponsor proposals using those Nouns. Plus, anyone will be able to burn $nogs and claim a Noun from the pool. It’s very similar to $nouns swap, but every claim will burn a dynamic amount of nogs instead, benefiting the whole nogs ecosystem. (https://imgur.com/a/zGn1MRp) This will be released for Lils too and then for other communities. Implications of this system can be massive and I will create a more detailed thread soon.
- Redemption program: our priority will be to reinject in the ecosystem 400k from revenue from any kind of future activity and product. This will be achieved through a Buy and Burn $nogs program. We expect to gradually complete this program within 6-8 months, but even after that we will continue to tie the eth -> nogs conversion from product fees to everything we are going to release. I won’t rest until I’ll be able to bring back that amount back in the ecosystem.
I want to show everyone that the vision around $nogs is right and that it can create a massive impact across the ecosystem. I made a mess and your anger towards me is perfectly understandable.
Just wait for this second half of the year and let me make amend for my mistakes and support Nouns, Lils and the rest of communities at the best of our capabilities like we always did during the past years.
Let us work these months and if I fail you will be free to make all the props you want, but until then, let me show you with facts that your time supporting us and our products was not a distraction.
While selling those nogs was definitely a mistake, I’m not going to talk again about the reasoning that led us to reallocate our presale. Once again, I’m extremely sorry if anyone feels robbed by me or NNS in general. My DMs are always open. We’ve already discussed plenty about this and I don’t want to take attention away from the most important thing, which is that nogs is still here and despite many complications we’re still working. If my words are not trustworthy enough, you’ll see from next week that this is all true.
