while I really appreciate wylin as a long time community member, and clearly they've put a lot of effort evolving the prop, going from 0 to $250k on a prop that has a lot of execution risk as noun12 described feels too much to me.
also, don't want to be too nitpicky but just for future prop writers that might read this, i want to be careful of the overuse of the word public goods. while you can say that you want to make food more accessible or food production more local and ubiquitous, food itself is squarely a private good in the sense that if you consume it then i can't also consume it and while you might be able bring down unit cost there's still a strong relationship between production quantity and cost.
that doesn't mean that we shouldn't fund it. nouns funds charitable causes, like mucho love or the variety children's christmas party event. but i think it's more fair for this to squarely compete in that category and attempt to answer why we should fund this charitable cause over many many things we could be funding.
again appreciative of wylin bringing this prop to the dao.
