# DHNOUNS DAO Funding 2023-2024
Hello Gnars community,
We, DHnouns, are reaching out to request your support. We would like to request the addition of a total of 3 ETH + 2 GNARS to our DH Nouns Treasury. This funding will help us do more exciting things together.
### Use of Funds:
The requested funds will be used to build and demonstrate that the project will be sustainable in the future by executing a 6-month plan. During this period, we will have decentralized video contests, support for in-person events, support for athletes, and community entrepreneurial initiatives. We will use the funds to bootstrap the DH Nouns DAO treasury, governed on Snapshot.

### How will the funds be distributed?
All of the 3 ETH will go into the DH Nouns treasury, a new onchain DAO built on top of the [thatsgnar.ly](http://thatsgnar.ly) platform. The funds will be governed by the DH Nouns community. Until we make the move to our onchain treasury - the DAO funds will be held in a Safe and governed by a Snapshot space.
2 GNARS will be awarded as prizes to dedicated athletes committed to their WEB3 education and participation in the DAO, connecting them with the GNARS family and great career opportunities. This discussion will take place publicly in the DAO's idea and proposal spaces, with careful consideration of merit.
### Maintenance and Social Media/Network Announcements:
We are reserving 0.3 ETH for Rocketman and DCOT, who will promote DH Nouns throughout the season. These funds will be used to keep our platform running smoothly and to create advertisements to spread the word about what we are doing. They have been doing a great job managing our social media, advertisements, and platform maintenance, and they are major sponsors of the community, having invested in community drops and the treasury, laying the foundation for this amazing community.
### Video Contests:
We want to organize three online video contests to engage more people in our community, uniting downhill enthusiasts from different parts of the world and bridging connections with different stores in Colombia, Brazil, and Venezuela, where our community is based. There will also be USD prizes.
Purchase of items for prizes for the first two events:
**VIDEO CONTEST #1 (most creative vertical video, with downhill spirit, art narrative edition)**

\* 0.02: 1 set of freeride wheels by LEBEN BOARD COMPANY
\* 0.02: 1 pair of PUCKS gloves by DONAS PUCKS
\* 0.02: 1 set of kneepads
\* 0.03: 4 t-shirts + stickers designed by fuzzyface.eth
\* 0.04: Shipping of prizes
**VIDEO CONTEST #2 (technica video the best adrenaline tricks in any format)**
\* 0.2 : USD prizes for 1st place (-- USD), 2nd place (-- USD), and 3rd place (-- USD)
**VIDEO CONTEST #3 (video result of community discussion)**
Prizes to be determined based on the results of the first round of video contests X2. Resources for the prizes will be requested in the DAO discussion spaces.
The allocation of resources will be in the hands of the DHnouns community DAO, which will propose ideas or initiatives to enhance the experience in this third event.
We invite the GNARS community to come together, participate in discussions, voting, and comments.
### Goals
\* To have a healthy and sustainable treasury that promotes sports, responsible practices, and sports and technology education for extreme athletes.
\* To build a supportive community that provides opportunities and mutual support to athletes worldwide in a decentralized family that loves gravity sports.
Supporting Multiple Athletes: If we have one or more committed athletes in our community, we would love to sponsor their trips to major competitions, putting the GNARS DAO and DHnouns name on the podiums of important events. We fully intend to promote community participation in the World Roller Skate Games, knowing that it's not easy for Latin American athletes. This will be a significant achievement for the entire community. This discussion will take place in the DAO space, and the athlete will need to propose and present their needs.
### Looking to the Future:
In about six months, we plan to request additional funding for projects that emerge within the community, strengthening our long-term vision. We will keep everyone informed and share more details, providing transparency to the community using the discussion spaces of the DAO on the platform \[[thatsgnar.ly/dhnouns/dao](http://thatsgnar.ly/dhnouns/dao)] as a space for development, incubation, and transparency.
