Good on you but am I supposed to thank you? And truce for what? Where's the war? My opinions and decisions are not a movement or a geopolitcal gesture, they're my own. And in any case a truce, even if I assume that we've been at war, just the two of us - how does it even matter if it doesn't affect anyone or anything beyond us or have larger implications?
We're not politicians, or at least I'm not. Maybe reconciliatiion would be the better word. If that's what we're talking about that it's all fine and has been all along, differences of opinion or disputes do not make me make final judgements on situations or people. It's just something a human did and it does not make the human that forever. There are exceptions to this of course, which is when a human makes it a point to continue doing it to make it their characterization, their individuality. But that's on them. Remember, even Hitler fell in love and died with his lover and she did so voluntarily. One can make the assumption that then he was capable of feeling love of course, clearly, even empathy, but it in no way translated into empathy toward humanity as a whole. This is the human condition continously contradicting itself. What I mean to say is, there is no war no peace and no truce. Only how we manage to try our best to escape our own proclivities and be consistent, ironically, in an inconsistent world.
On a basic level I appreciate the gesture but therein lies the problem, it came with an expectation of sorts, of an imaginary truce or whatever, and I have no choice but to relay back that expectation to you. So go back and read some Derrida and about "gifting". And until then, so, it's up to you but it'd be beneficial for Firstbase if you added that to liquidity.
Congratulations on renaming a blockchain after a hedgehog character by the way. I'm obviously being disingenous with that comment, the roots lie elsewhere i'm sure. But considering the memetic agencies commanding so much attention in the market people might now mistake it for a memecoin and start trading it. Or have one based on that renaming, if there isn't one already.
Sonic, in hindsight, does have extremely sound characteristics. Supposedly hates oppression and promotes freedom, but then apparently so does Musk who has weaponized that word to make the masses, who are powerless, in all senses of the word, make them feel like they are being given agency and its their right, which i guess it is, but the freedom he stands for is ulterior, and has successfully managed to make a majority of humans to, on the contrary, become even more hateful and repressive and intolerant of each other. He has made regressiveness and tyranny synonymous with freedom via accessing the base human need to feel agency, and also cleverly, which isn't hard to do in these times, make the masses forget that history is important or that history even exists to begin with. I digress.
But that's what I mean with the Hitler analogy as well, at the outset, without going into details, Musk is the "good guy genius progessing humanity". In some universe that is likely, and various other possibilities too, but in this one the fact is that he's nothing short of a parochial and divisive agent and his smokescreen are memes and a light-footedness.
This is probably why i've been watching The Twilight Zone again (old, original one). Or maybe I needed to make some excuse. Though I do love Jordan Peele so support the new effort as well.
Especially the episode "It's a Good Life." I'm biased toward the irony of the title and the ending narration obviously:
"No comment here, no comment at all. We only wanted to introduce you to one of our very special citizens, little Anthony Fremont, age six, who lives in a village called Peaksville, in a place that used to be Ohio. And, if by some strange chance, you should run across him, you had best think only good thoughts. Anything less than that is handled at your own risk..."
