Here in Aus, senior lawyers average between the 94,500 to 157,500 USD mark annually. At the 6 month you’re proposing, that’d land around 100,800 USD if annualised at the current ETH price, putting it right in the ballpark of a senior lawyer’s salary here. So my point stands, it’s an extremely well paid job to track proposals and prepare info for lawyers, all while not stepping on the toes of the other admin roles we’ve appointed. > “A salary that rivals the qualified lawyers you organised papers for” ….. the starting rate for a Corperate Attorney in California is $250 per hour, plus emails, phone calls, texts etc are all billed separately… I’m sure Index & Satori could shed some light on the hourly rates we’re paying for the current Attorneys who worked on The Foundation & Duna, pretty sure it was close to $1k per hour, if not more …. So I’d have to disagree that the salary I am requesting is even close to rivaling any type of Attorney who would handle this type of work.

Take as a hypothetical example a proposal from someone named 3Seas who lives in a country outside of the US, no one knows his real name … we would then have to track wallets & get authorities involved to subpoena the exchange to release his information… then we have to research the local laws where he lives to see which laws he broke in his jurisdiction in order to send the proper legal notices… we may also have to find a local contact who can serve him the papers (all depends on the laws in his area, in the US someone has to be handed the papers and the person delivering the papers has to say ‘you’ve been served’). Some people may hire an attorney and try to fight the claims, this drags things out.

But not many people want the responsibility & social backlash that may come from being involved in serving legal notices to fellow community members or people they know outside of the DAO.
